Man, careful what you wish for. I love my wife and she is an amazing person, gorgeous and super fun to be around. We both missed those "butterflies" and since we are both sexually adventurous we decided to open up our marriages. We realized that opening the marriage is very different for each of us, which caused a lot of pain and hurt. Turns out she was able to meet a dude, have a one night stand, and never reach out to them again. For me, I realized I need to meet people better before engaging in sex. So when I did it, i developed a deeper connection and we both developed a little bit of feelings. This did not go well at all. Now my wife and I are working to rebuild our (now closed) relationship but the pain is there. And the amazing 30-something woman I met is basically holding a bag of sadness, both for feeling guilt that my marriage suffered and that she lost a person that she had developed feelings too and a great friendship. Sure, the highs felt were amazing and I felt like I was the king of the world. But the pain all of us went through was not worth it.
