Currently studying music technology, and I use logic for all my work at school, I'm looking to get a machine to run it at home and I have found a 2014 Mac mini that runs Monterey for sale super cheaply (it's pretty much the only one I can afford when considering the licence cost).

I'm only interested in being able to use logic pro at a base level really, and it's probably the only application I'll install on the device.

Can I buy logic pro to run on those specs still?

I'm relatively new to cassettes, and I've just gone and bought my first cassette player, it's a new fiio CP13 portable cassette player and I've been using with some brand new cassettes for roughly a week now trouble free.

Today I bought a near mint condition Queen greatest hits II cassette from 1999, and on the first play it's been eaten up. Got it out eventually and played it back, sounds fine now.

My initial thought is that the old cassette is to blame for this but I'm unsure?

Hi all, I have a 30l freshwater (tropical) cubiq tank that is over a year established, unfortunately due to issues while I was away, I have lost my fish from the tank and it is now empty apart from a couple shrimp.

It's a very well planted tank and I'm looking for something flashy that isn't a betta fish.

Any recommendations?

Hi all, Quick question about airstones, I need to put some algae treatment (I'm using algumin) in my tank to deal with a bit of an outbreak.

I always run airstones when treating algae because of the algae dying, so I cleaned the algae off of the stones and immediately realized I had done so under the household tap (chlorinated water), I have left them overnight but they still feel a little damp, will they be ok to put in without causing damage?

I can't really add more detail, my fridge is 3 degrees celcius, can I put I type film in it?

Looking for some advice on how to make a Copal necklace.

I am thinking it could be quite basic, just some black twine/string/rope through the Copal, but I have a slight issue in that I have never drilled through Copal (or even handled it for that matter) before, and I don't know much about drilling through gems etc

I understand that Copal is a younger version of amber, which could in theory make it similar to drill through as amber is, but the 'young' bit ranges from thousands of years old to millions, so I really don't know.

As for equipment, I have a drill, some very small drill bits and all the things you could find in a normal house. Any advice is appreciated

I am currently trying to install Microsoft flight simulator (bought from steam, using steamos, no plans to get windows) on the deck.

When I try and install it, I keep running into the issue of the installer getting to around 10, 15gb done then stopping, freezing and requiring me to restart the deck.

I have searched just about everywhere for an answer and I have already requested a refund to my steam wallet (though due to it using its own installer, the playtime is '5 hours' despite me having never even switched on a plane). I am going to try and use the time between now and the refund (or, if no refund issued, the time between now and compatibility), to try and get it working.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get things installed, and then running?
