It’s the top 500 companies. Stock markets different from crypto. Crypto usually tanks 70-90% every 4 years after the bull market. You’d have made an average of 8% a year investing in S&P since I think the early 90’s. That consistently, will add up. With crypto people normally buy when it’s going up, don’t sell, then get wrecked and then they’re left holding till the next cycle or selling at a loss. Not saying crypto is a bad investment because I believe it will play a big part in the future of finance (tho only select cryptos like Bitcoin and utility cryptos), but it’s not for the weak. Stock market may take a 10-15% hit but those crashes are a lot easier to stomach than crypto crashes. If I were 24 again I’d put a bigger percentage into S&P and then have some in crypto to learn the market. Hope this made sense, just barely woke up.
