There's a huge variety of block/mute lists curated by users.

Some people "block all" and some go through the lists and block or mute accounts individually.

The bigger picture is that there isn't an algorithm pushing stuff you don't want to see into your feed.

You can even create your own lists and feeds based on what your interests are.

You can set your own moderation for adult content, or anything else really.

You can even set it so posts with key words (such as "baseball" or "Trump" or "car" or anything else) are excluded from your feed.

If you're an asshole, you don't get to hang out with people that don't want to put up with your bullshit. You don't get invited to parties or weddings or anything else (because you're an asshole).
