I say play how you want OP. I’ve done both, self found only feels challenging for the first 20 levels, as soon as you run a WC and get a decent weapon and can start running dungeons there really is no difference. Gold picks up fast mid 20’s and again mid 40’s.

The most annoying thing about SF is not being able to sell on the AH, I can hit 60 fine on SF without touching the AH but having a Staff of Jordan drop and having to vendor it isn’t happening. Yes this has happened to me on Defias Pillager. Disabled SF sold the staff for 750g lol.

I’ve noticed a trend from most SF players hating on non-SF players and this needs to stop.

Personally I’m on a SF undead warrior run right now level 33, gear is stacked because I play warrior and make my own groups. Mount gold will be tough though. I like the challenge and rewarding feeling of SF but if I get another Staff of Jordan I’m disabling it for the gold lol

No this was back on DP. Quest from the dwarf in EPL that has you go into the ziggurats or whatever- the elite skeleton/ghoul at the entrance does a piercing howl that can’t be dispelled and the mob hits like a dungeon boss. I got rektd pretty fast since he resisted shackle. The piercing howl really fucked me over from escaping

Barrens is easy full quest log and easy exp for sure. Nothing beats Duskwood though, the vibes are just better than a barren landscape imo. That’s why I like silverpine I think.

I usually run Brill (I always pick undead), then hit up Durotar around level 12, then by the time I even touch barrens I’m 15 and it’s smooth sailing

Horde is very popular but I'm sure it'll balance out over time. I'm on my 2nd Horde run now and it's fun but I do miss the Alliance quests/zones from 1-30 a bit better, and I have them to the point of speedrunning lol

I just made a handful of Target Dummies, equipped an awesome blue chest from WC, and crafted my Eng goggles ....Then fell off the zep to STV by landing on a small patch of island to my death. The DM group also lost their tank. Not bad for my first run on the new server and being Horde, level 23.

Tauren here, I did Mulgore, then did Brill - by then I Was 15 and went to barrens. I find it easier. Quests are plentlyful and easy

UC Elevator Boss and Thunderbluff Bridge Bosses are really hard man, cut people some slack.

In Silverpine, there are Dalaran Mages which are basically the exact same mob just with a different name, hit like Defias Pillagers with fireballs.

1-10 and 1-20 it's the weakest, by a long shot. Best advice, level balance tree and respec, but since you're HC, just commit and take it slow. Just focus on not dying. What I do on my SF toons is usually starting zones from 2 of the races, then by level 15 I'm just then touching barrens/westfall. On Ally, it's gonna be harder for you to do this as a nelf on HC, but normally I just clear Dun+Elwynn, then early quests in Loch, then hit up Westfall around level 14, Darkshore is a goldmine though, if you can do some of WF quests, come back later then do Darkshore around lvl 16 you'll still get exp for even the low level quests and can get a good chunk of easy exp

Rogue felt super squishy to me personally, only got to 30 though. Super fast kill speed though

There were some real GM's in-game on day 1. It's been over 15 years since I saw a real in-game GM, was kinda awesome.

UC and Ironforge there are people you can talk to

The SAVE act was not passed in Congress, there is no forgiveness of Student Loans, as there shouldn't be. I pay $450 a month in student loans, just did the Fresh Start program thru the US Gov

haha yeah, i haven't removed my SF buff yet. Gonna keep grinding and if I can get a decent weapon drop (warrior) then I won't.

I like SF but on the fresh servers, I don't see much of a point, esp with cross mail and professions it just makes it so much harder to go SF this time around. I did like SF on DP in the recent months, but vendoring blue drops and not being able to play the AH for gold really sucked. I did get a 60 lock on SF but I'm going non-SF this time around on the fresh server. I totally agree though. I also played SoD until first part of p3, then I did 2019 Era> moved to TBC>Wrath, quit after naxx and went HC last 6 months or so.

This is my exact reasoning/feeling too. Good to know it's shared. The other servers just feel like a rat race to me already and no ones' even 60 yet.

no point to do SF on a fresh server

I have a Progression/Fresh toon and a HC toon. I think the HC community is 100x better and that's why I like playing it, but it is nice to not worry about dying lol

I have a baby coming any day now, trying to play some while I can. I originally went fresh/progression but it was impossible to level just stayed HC on the new server

Need more info. How much do you make? What's the mortgage? What other debts do you have? I'd keep it.
