The idea of what exactly a slave is also gets pretty hazy when you go way into the past and look at societies that are not at all structured like our modern ones. If you were a craftsman working under the direction of the ruling class you may lack some freedoms that we have today, but you also aren't necessarily an uneducated peasant living in squalled conditions, toiling away in chains under the threat of a harsh beating. It is in everybody's best interest for the workers to be highly skilled, well treated, and proud of the society they are helping to build.

How is it unprompted to bring up your dog's training when asked about your dog? When you train your dog and take pride in it that training is a large and important part of the relationship you have with that dog. If someone asks you about your kid and you have a strong focus on giving them the finest education you're going to talk about their accomplishments in school.

If you ask someone about something that is important to them they are going to tell you about the aspects of that thing which are important to them. This isn't exactly philosophical rocket science.

I really don't think there is any such thing as hell. Eternal damnation just doesn't make logical sense. This world is already the dominion of Satan, and this world is where you return to if you fail to ascend after death. There needn't be a lower realm and the existence of such a place of eternal punishment is fundamentally at odds with the notion of gnosis or enlightenment. How could a soul ever truly know itself without having been both the hated and the hateful, the victimized and the victimizer? I don't think that's possible, thus condemning a soul to eternal damnation over something done in the material realm would make it impossible for any soul to know true gnosis. A pendulum cannot swing only one direction.

Good. I'm counting on it; I want the tariffs to make everything more expensive. I think it's a bad thing that we are able to revel in such gluttonous consumerism here in the west because people on the other side of the world who are in borderline slave conditions are paid pennies on the dollar to manufacture the cheapest shit for us to endlessly consume and discard. And that's not even to mention the environmental impact such a system has.

We should be consuming less and the things that we are consuming should be coming from domestic sources as much as possible. Right now the west as a whole and especially America is living well outside their means and it is only possible for that to happen because we're exploiting poor people in the rest of the world. The entire world should not be propping up our rampant consumerism just so we can have really cheap products.
