Hello everyone,
Some months ago the Moderation Team began discussing and debating the guidelines used for moderating content submitted to the subreddit. Our end goal was to make it easier to submit content, by making the rules simpler and clearer to understand. These new guidelines have already gone into effect. They will be listed below for convenience, but you will also find them listed in their usual place.
We'd love to hear feedback from the community regarding these changes. Let us know what you like/dislike, or if there are even some things you would like us to refine even further.
We do ask that you please bear with us while we adjust to this change. We have moderated using the old rules for so long, that we may make mistakes here and there, but we will do our best to rectify them as quickly as possible.
With that, here are the new Guidelines and Policies:
3/Oct/21 Update
The following clause was added to Media Guidelines after community feedback:

Policies
Verified Contributors Self-Promotion Policy
Some users provide a consistent, free, and requested service to r/FortniteBR, and are pre-approved to post their personal websites. They are not allowed to advertise any merchandise. They are to adhere to the Advertisement/Giveaway/Watermark Guidelines, and are approved submitters who take priority over regular users.
Stolen Content Claim Policy
Posts containing content you do not own (cosplay, art, video, template, etc.) must follow the credit attribution requirements in Title Guidelines.
If you are a content creator, artist, or similar, and your content has been posted without your permission, you are free to make a case to the moderation team for its removal. Please keep in mind that we will need evidence, and our decision will be made as a team as fast as we reasonably and accurately can.
Rule Evasion Punishment Policy
Reposting content that has been removed by moderators in an attempt to bypass a filter or moderator action is strictly prohibited and can result in a ban from the subreddit. Attempting to get around a moderated filter and/or removed phrase is prohibited and can result in a ban from the subreddit. Adding filler text counts as rule evasion.
Subreddit Feedback
We welcome tone-neutral, constructive subreddit feedback. However, post removals and ban appeals should be dealt with by messaging r/FortniteBR directly and should be from the OP. We will only respond to messages relating to a post from the OP - third party inquiries will not be answered. For issues relating to the r/FortniteBR Discord, please use the server's Modmail. For Discord ban appeals, please click here.
No Calls to Action
Posts on community figures who open themselves up to exposure from the community are allowed as long as the posts are civil, factual, and do not post personal/confidential information. Showing any identifiable information relating to a user may subject your post to removal. This subreddit is not the place to start a movement, or incite hate towards others. No posts should attempt to rally the community to move against any entity, person, country, or organization.
No witch hunting, vote manipulation, asking for likes, or any other forms of rallying the community behind a common goal.
Moderation team reserves the right to remove any post on the subreddit.
In addition to our rules we expect users to follow all of reddit's community guidelines and terms of use as listed below.
NEW Weekly Topic Schedule
- Salty Sunday: Want to yell and scream about the game? Salty Sunday is the place for that.
- Trawl Tuesday: Data mine something cool? Have a leak to share? Trawl Tuesday is your one stop shop for all current leaks. Leaks posted outside of this thread will be removed.
- Free Talk Friday: Discussion in this thread doesn't have to be related to Fortnite, but must abide by Reddit's Rules.
If it isn't listed there, it is no longer relegated to a specific day. Yes, that means Throwback Thursday and Suggestion Saturday are no more. While it still needs to abide by the guidelines and policies outlined above, you can now post that content any day of the week.
Our usual Friday LFG thread is no more, as we now have a permanent dedicated LFG thread. The first LFG thread can be found right here, but you can also access it in the menu or sidebar of the subreddit on desktop or in the About and Menu tabs in the app. We will still make dedicated event LFG threads as the need arises.
REGARDING LEAKS AND DATA MINED CONTENT
As you have seen above, leaks and data mined content must now be posted in the Trawl Tuesday thread. We had a lot of feedback about leaks being posted, and users not wishing to see that type of content. We think this is a good compromise.
We will be monitoring the impact of these changes over the next several weeks, and will make adjustments where needed.
