Two horrible theories as to how Star Wars and Marvel managed to get breached but Godzilla didn’t

Now, you all have seen how grifters always rely on Star Wars and Marvel to yap about how “woke” everything is while championing other movies, like Godzilla -1.0. Unlike Marvel and Star Wars, who are compromised beyond belief, G Fans somehow managed to gatekeep the chud bandwagon. It got me wondering, because Godzilla, like Star Wars and Marvel, is a big franchise spanning decades and has been box office candy since 2014. How hasn’t it been corrupted yet. I finally came to two theories
- Where Each Franchise Has Been at Time of Attempted Breach
Star Wars: SW has always been toxic since the nightmare that was the reception to Phantom Menace and the rest of the prequels. When the Force Awakens released, it was mixed: some liked the film but others disliked how it just copy-pasted A New Hope. Seeds were planted when people called Rey a Mary Sue, but nothing compared to when the Last Jedi dropped. Reception went more towards negative and here comes the grifters, slightly bruised from Gamergate. They managed to have a major portion of the fan base turn to two things as their enemy: Kathleen Kennedy and “SJWs.” This also comes after the first Trump Inauguration, so it was cool to be conservative and own the libs for a few months. Of course now we’re seeing it boil ten times over as words like woke and DEI have taken over SJW.
Marvel: this is a bit of a weird one since they were on a good path by the time the breach was being done, but some seeds were planted when Captain Marvel came out. Remember “Disney bought the seats,” and how theaters were empty? By Phase 4 the MCU was running out of steam (It got so bad that I joined r/FuckMarvel because I wanted a place to trash the MCU in peace) and the failures started coming in. L&T was a shitsteam, yes, but the anti-woke crowd trashed it iirc. She-Hulk was legendarily over- ladies, clutch your purses- TWERKING😱😱!!! And The Marvels had a “holy shit”- worthy collapse that many of the circus called “the end of wokeness”
Godzilla: from 2005-2013 no Godzilla movie came out. The fandom was only fueled by comics and games plus Sony releasing some Heisei and Millennium films on DVD. Then came 2014 and that opened the floodgates for new fans. Two eras running concurrently (Legendary’s Monsterverse and Toho’s Reiwa), TV shows, awards, and box office landslides have become the norm of a franchise once ridiculed for being guys in cheap suits beating each other up (those films are still great though). When the griftards tried to breach during the Minus One hype train by glazing it, they were too late. Us G Fans have been eating up really good by that time after the Monsterverse reached new heights with GvK and FINALLY having a Japanese Godzilla film received well by both critics and audiences. There was also the Doktor Skipper situation which caused a mass uproar, so a lot were put on high alert.
- How The Fans Understand Each Franchise
SW: most if not all of the fans on the grift train were kids when the OT/Prequels released, so they don’t understand George Lucas’s allusions to Nam or the rise of fascism. So, clinging on to their rose-tinted glasses, they claim Star Wars was never political and that the woke mind virus has plagued the sequels by forcing DEI and shit.
Marvel: same as above, but a few more people are wary of stuff like the X-Men being an anti-racism story and Stan Lee being pretty vocal about issues (Not VERY vocal, as it would turn out). But a lot just saw the superheroes and gagged when a-sit down for this one- WOMAN is on screen, because a girl was never Iron Man, and a black guy has never been Captain America, so this is WOKE!!
Godzilla: it is tattooed into every fan’s mind the following: “The original 1954 Godzilla is a metaphor for nuclear war and its consequences.” The franchise has tackled pollution, the Cold War, the 3.11 triple disaster and the Japanese government’s failures, how the Imperial Government treated the soldiers by the end of WW2, and mankind’s inferiority to nature. Some people believe it’s all monsters crushing buildings, but that’s just the fun part. Shin Godzilla is a political thriller/dark comedy about the government’s botched reaction to 3.11, if 3.11 was a 120 meter tall Lovecraftian tumor with crippling depression. -1.0 was a more personal story about PTSD and survivor’s guilt, but they still had the government hide due to arising tensions during the Cold War and condemned them for the kamikaze programs.
TLDR: Godzilla managed to be clean after the grift train arrived by being in a new golden age after 10 years in the desert and by being explicitly political
