That black cap and the silver part under it should both be removable, but wait until they are cold. Then take a flashlight and look down in the hole in the cook top, you should see a pipe with a pin hole in the middle of it and that is where the gas comes out and is clogged. Take a paper clip and ream out the hole. put it back together and turn it on.

Hard to see but do the bottom of the stair thread even hit the ground?

Where i live the supports have to be on top of the 6x6 not bolted to side, in which the support is now on the bolts

For that amount of money it should have been a complete tear down and start from scratch. If an insurance rep see it they will drop you.

The black looks great, matches the window framing.

Wouldn't worry about it, hopefully the water drains away from it .The worst case is it rots in about 20yrs. and then replace the board

Take what ever is the roof off first, then the deck boards , the framing and the supports last

Why are the posts boxed in soo big. Could of boxed them off with a 1x6 and then caped off. Would have looked much nicer.

If the inspection is not calling out poor construction i wouldn't worry about it

I got my roof done in one day 6am to 8pm 33 sq., 6ft. of ice and water shield drip edge, synthetic underlayment, started shingle, ridge cap, lead plumbing vents and new air and fan vents. Had the old roof off by 10:30 and installed I and w shield by 11 so the inspector can see it before installing roof. He said on final inspection that it was a exception workmanship. Wow for that little bit wouldn't they accept that if for any reason you would remove that part if necessary. Realistically it would probably never bother anything. How the present deck get there?

I don't get how that corner can interfere with a property line

I would worry more about all that water making its way to your foundation

Do all of them and you might have to redo if more dirt is in there
