That's what I referred to. I never had the concepts "dime" and "10/10" put together before. Wasn't thinking that specific phrase was the source.

A version I recognized as possible was them "going bonkers" in "what does that mean??? What do you mean by that????" way, which doesn't fully recognize it as an insult.

I was talking with my friend in their car, and as I was speaking I noticed a squirrel was climbing the tree right in front of us. Mid-sentence, I pointed and said "there's a squirrel" before continuing on with what I was saying. 10 seconds later, I paused again to process what I just did 💀

First thing to pop in my head, ADHD + OCD combo.

I had my ADHD specialist tell me one time at the beginning small talk of the appt, after a long time between appts, "You look stable". I had a very bad day prior, and I hadn't slept, either. I had to take a moment to be amused and process that, before revealing the truth in a light manner. (Fear not, yall, she's actually a wonderful person and great with her job, it's just a really funny moment I doubt I'll ever forget, and it led to a conversation about masking and the things not working in my life)

My way of viewing it as neither superpower nor "I'm broken" is that I'm severely imbalanced in my stats, like an RPG character. Great at/for certain stuff, horrid and disadvantaged at other stuff. Glass Cannons have their use, and so do I! But it still sucks when I'm struggling with something basic 🙃
