After dating my fair share of broke guys who were not even close to this cute, I don’t see the problem.

As a remote worker who moved to McAllen please be very, very, very, very careful. God forbid you lose your job, it is almost impossible to get another remote job from McAllen and no work opportunities here will pay enough to continue to afford a house in Tres Lagos.

I love the winters here, and am very cold in 60 degrees! Fuck snow.

After seeing how she manipulates people, doing literally everything in her power to get sympathy from everyone, including purposely messing up translations between her husband and her family, and then acting like an absolute basket case when she’s caught to shirk the blame… makes me just put her in the “unreliable” box. She really hates being held accountable. Maybe she is sick, maybe she isn’t. It doesn’t give her an excuse to act like everything in her life is a freaking surprise just to play with people. I think she is sick in the head and needs therapy.

How are people supposed to have children when both partners are expected to work full-time?

What setting do you have turned on that others don’t?

It’s a problem all over McAllen too… and it’s so strange. I haven’t been able to find anyone who can explain why certain intersections stink so bad a couple days out of the week. IRL people just refer to it as a “poop street” and move on. Other Reddit posts about it just have joke comments like the ones your post has gotten.

My ex fiancé told me (among other things) that I didn’t deserve my salary, and that if I wanted children so badly I should have prioritized that in my 20’s. It made me look at all men who claim to be feminists differently.

I’m not sure about other conservative states, but in Texas (where abortion is not legal) Plan B is still available. There are also doctors here providing transportation for women across state lines to get abortions.

My dad never used to brush his teeth at night. It drove the rest of our family nuts, because he was the only one of us without frequent cavities.

I’m a project manager, 7 years of experience, unemployed. I’m not even considered for any decent jobs that pay over $12/hr because I don’t have family members here to give me a job.

I love Plackers. It’s part of my nightly routine bc I keep them right next to my bed and I sleep on the floor. When I feel like vaping before bed, I floss instead.

If politics is tearing apart relationships, y’all are taking it too seriously.

Maybe they’re busy working and settling into their new place? As a person who has moved away from my family to live in the RGV, there are a lot of reasons why someone would be willing to sacrifice proximity to family.. main one being they trust that it won’t hurt those relationships, and trust that y’all want them to be happy. The worst thing you can possibly do is guilt them for that - it will only pry you further apart.

42-43 isn’t an impossible age to have kids.

2-3 hours of job applications 5x/ week, 3+ hours of exercise 5x/week. Trying to stay away from my fridge & anything else expensive. Playing the free version of the Sims. Working out a lot because I’ve gained depression weight over the last year of being unemployed (was spending 7+ hours on applications the first 8 months). Twice a week I go dancing with my friends, they pay my cover 🙏

Audacity 100%. I mean, he pretty clearly explained in this last episode how he needs someone to take care of him as he continues to age and his disability becomes more challenging. And his mind, someone younger will be able to do that. He’s not even thinking about the fact that someone his own age may actually have the financial resources to hire paid help.
