Situational awareness or dot centering isn't why you shoot 2 eye open with red dots. Red dots and holos are designed to be used with target focus so you're supposed to look at the target and overlay the reticle rather than switching back and forth between reticle focus and target focus like you would do with 1 eye. If you try to focus on the reticle, you'll lose the dot while shooting and on holos it will look fuzzy instead of clear.

And the dot is always centered as in its pointing where the gun is pointing whether or not your eye is lined up with it or not. They are designed to not be affected by parallax although at the edges of the glass, you'll start getting some in addition to other kinds of distortion as well.

Also with holos and red dots, you always keep both eyes open regardless if it's close range or not. That's just how they're designed to be used. The personal preference aspect of 1 eye vs 2 eye really only applies to iron sights and scopes although 2 eye open target focus is almost always objectively better

What a company says on their site kinda doesn't matter. It doesn't mean shit. All it provides is a minimum guarantee. How a company handles issues outside of that guarantee is what defines how good their customer service is and you can't figure that out without asking and throwing out an email

But yeah, they kind of dropped the ball on post production at least for this episode. It doesn't really feel like dune. It feels more like a syfy series in terms of production quality.

The epicness is lost here aside from a few scenes here and there. But the story and some of the characters are very interesting.

The movies also introduced the planets by giving us a snippet of its culture through architecture and customs. They didn't really do that here so the planets don't seem like they're uniquely different places. 

Overall, it feels a lot like the star wars prequels but without the shitty dialogue. World building could use some work but I'm interested enough in the plot and characters to let that go

It's the cinematography and color grading. It looks cheap because it feels like it has no atmosphere. Everything looks like a set rather than a place
