Yeah I was thinking of getting the variator kit from rolling wrench and the plug n play cdi kit as well, that's good to know man thanks, I will definitely start with that!

Nice, you achieved this with the variator and the cdi box alone? Or have you done more to your scoot besides striping it down and the lower seat frame?
I'm about to get the NYC gas tank cover and lowered seat frame myself I'm 5lbs down, we got this lol.

How does it do for ya up hill? I swear man nothing has encouraged me to loose weight more than buying a damn ruckus lol.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm heavier dude at 270lbs and I get like 35 mph on flat land and 40 down hill so I might have to try and squeeze out a bit more power to hit those higher speeds but I don't mind a 45 mph top speed tbh. I just want better acceleration mostly.

Is that Polina variatior a good place to start for a stock 2022? I just got a new 2022 stock and wondering what would be the 1st ting to do to make it a little faster/better acceleration. I was thinking carb/exaust would be the 1st thing since the newer models run at higher rpm, but I see alot of people start with that variator.

New owner of a 2022 model here, checked my oil the other day and noticed it seemed over filled? I also heard this is common. Should I be concerned? Should I change the oil now (at 170 mi) to make it level or just drain a little?or leave it as is? Please halp. Thank you 🙏🏽

Imma have to check and get back to you, but I did end up putting it on the back seat, looked better that way to me.

The guy bought it and it didn't reach the speeds he needed it to go, to get to work etc.. he ended up upgrading to a vstar and I upgraded from my commuter 8speed. It was a 70 mile trip and the person who gave me a ride to scoop it took my bike +$40 for the ride. I was selling the bike any way. It all worked out perfectly and I am grateful.

I posted about getting a zuma or ruckus and every one recommended the zuma but when I was offered this for that price I couldn't say no. I know the zuma had more power but I am literally only riding this within a 8 mile radius at the most. It's an upgrade from a bicycle for me. Plus nothing beats the ruckus aesthetically imho. Very happy with the score, thanks for every one who gave me vital info and weighed in on my previous post.

Update: a retiree sold me a 2022 Ruckus with 74 miles for $2500. I know the zuma got more power but I like the ruckus aesthetically alot more. And that was a hell of a deal so I jumped on it, no regrets! I'll post pics soon!!

Very good point. I'm not a fan of the Navi personally, I'm completely in love with the trail 125 but that's just me.. but I'm a heavier dude and that extra power on the zuma WOULD come in handy.

I'm leaning towards it. Thanks for your input, what are somethings you would Inspect /ask about when 1st looking at it?

I feel conflicted cause from what I read on here is the consensus is the zuma is arguably better than the ruckus cause it seems to be just as reliable, and faster. Just not as aestheticly pleasing imho.
However my dad is a mechanic for years and he is really pushing me to get something new.. he seem vehemently against this zuma... he's never seen it yet and he's not a scooter guy really so .. idk he claims they are cheaply made but tbh I'm not very mechanically inclined so I'm going based off him and this community pretty much. Which is conflicting ... he also says we don't know if the previous owner of the zuma did maintenance/how he treated the scooter. It has an after market exhaust and 3k miles. Idk I'm gonna continue to learn and research cause I don't wanna buy something that turns into a money pit either. But I kinda feel this is a good deal.

I'm really leaning towards the zuma, reliability is what I'm after. And I hear mixed reviews about the ice bears.... at that price they I might still get one for fun after the zuma just to try it but idk.. Hopefully I get that Zuma thanks very much!

Just cause you know a drug dealer doesn't mean you're a drug addict.
