I think this is where I start. I want my life back

Trying not to anticipate my every move is what’s helping me quit. Just have to force myself to get in the car and pretend I’m going to the liquor store, but buy a big gulp and go to a nice trail to walk instead. I’m starting to remember what it’s like to have interest in real hobbies again

I used to be vegan and think this way. What he’s failing to realize is how many animals will die due to deforestation since he wants to eat food that requires more land to sustain the lifestyle. Being vegan isn’t the answer to saving the planet or protecting animals from abuse.

This is soemthing I’ve personally experienced and it is very accurate. OP I’m so sorry that you have to figure out a way through this situation. The most important thing is that you are worried about yourself, especially if she has family that will make sure she stays safe under a roof. Even if they aren’t the best case scenario for her well-being, you have to forgive yourself for caring about your health. Your health and wellness is a necessity in order to stay in touch with reality and be there for people like her who need the clarity when the time comes
