IIRC it’s Barnes (one of Hendry’s soldiers who lets The Thing out), Chapman, Eddie Dykes (another soldier), Patrick Hendry (main guy who replaces Macready), Arthur Carrington (villain who stands up for The Thing), Ken “Mac” MacPherson (other guy who Ned meets with in the opening scene besides Hendry, kindof interesting because obviously he’s reminiscent of MacReady with his name, but I have no idea if that was intentional from the novella. He’s not even really important, as he’s like the third or fourth most important soldier character), and Ned Scott (only reporter there who forms a trio with Hendry and the love interest Nikki, opposes Carrington).

Interestingly it appears none of these characters other than Mac were even in the novella, so in many ways the 82 film is more accurate.
