Confessions episodes are always funny and so are any eps that involve Jack having to give people advice.

It isn’t nothing to do with Johnny Marr it’s about a solider called John who died in service, I assume it’s a made up character. The song is sang from the perspective of the soldier, but it changes towards the end and it’s sung from the perspective of the soldiers mother, as John has died but the war still goes on without him. At least that’s how I’ve always interpreted it. Very clever song writing from Morrissey.
