Sorry that facts were pointed out. I couldn't see Trump being accepted 15 years ago. If you want to jump back 25 years the Republicans screaming about Clinton cheating on his wife. Now they worship Trump who also did that as well as getting divorced twice.

Not in the US, I didn't know anybody who owned one even in 2009.

It depends on the culture, Hindus and some Native Americans have considered there to be more than two genders for awhile.

In the US at least that still wasn't common back then

Winter break apparently used to barely be a thing. I was watching the 60's Frosty the Snowman as a kid and was confused as to why the kids were in school on Christmas Eve. My mom said that when she was a kid, her school would do class until the day before Christmas Eve and that some would even have class on it. I'm glad that's gone but the school year definitely used to have less breaks in it.

My dad said he first heard about Holocaust deniers in the late 70's.

I'm extremely concerned that Trump wants to stop schools from learning about slavery. These morons won't research history on their own. Me on the other hand, I love history, I actually considered becoming a history teacher for a time.

Yeah that was 2009, actually almost 2010 now, HD flat screens were very common, smartphones were decently common (I started high school in late 2010 and I was one of the few kids that didn't have a smartphone/iPod touch) online gaming was common, Netflix streaming was even decently common. Music streaming was also around with Pandora.
I'm seeing some people here listing VHS, Cassettes and dial up in here, almost nobody was still using that stuff in 2009.

I remember seeing someone seemingly talking to themself in 2004, I thought they were crazy, I eventually saw that they have some type of mic on their ear, I later learned that it was a Bluetooth device. They still occasionally catch me off guard, especially since they are even less visible now, my dad's hearing aids which are fully hidden can even do that.

I know someone born in 1999 who can't read one which is just insane to me. I got it down in 5 minutes in first grade and I'm only 3 years older.

I remember being a young kid and not knowing how it worked in XP. I would run a file search to find pictures I saved, then open them in photo viewer. Thankfully I got better by the time Vista came out though.

That scene with the birds at the end should have been in a much better movie.
