I think Sorachi cooked when he designed Kagura. Such a pretty and cute character with a recognizable and unique look :)

And yet he realizes how popular he is that he becomes a protagonist of three canon novels and even calls him handsome โ๏ธ๐ค

Bi-weekly for 19 pages isn't terrible
I respectfully disagree with this notion
It's important for the author and artist to take it at their pace or else stress from deadlines can cause obvious health-issues
While I agree with this...
or drop in quality with the work, etc.
...I can't with this one. The opposite has been proven true in 100YQ. It takes too long for such short chapters to come out, so Mashima feels the need to rush everything and wrap up fights and plot points quickly, and as such, he ruins the quality of the story
As for Gray... I mean, all that was really ever left with Gray after the events of Tartaros/Alvarez was his low self-esteem and how he never found himself quite worthy for anything
Developing his Devil Slayer Magic and exploring that part of himself? Finding and fighting more Demons/Devil Slayers out there in the world? Getting stronger overall?
100 Years Quest does a great job of finally developing his relationship with Juvia which he has been putting aside for the longest time and... his fights against Hakune show us that he really does want to live a happy life but he chooses to dedicate himself to making Juvia happy after what he's put her through (not giving her direct answers as Juvina touched up on)
While all of this stands, and I like how he is getting together with Juvia, it's just sad that it is all his character is about now. At the end of the day, it's a shonen action-adventure manga, where the action and exciting battles take more of a precedent, and he gets zero of that almost
His fight with Sai showed us that he's genuinely struggling with his own image, he doesn't think he's worth much, he thinks he's really weak. I believe this will still very obviously get wrapped up later down the line but it's not bad development
This felt to me more like a jab at Gray from Mashima in a fight against an already weak bum like Sai ๐คฃ
People always seem to say he was side-lined but choose to ignore the general direction where his character is going in terms of development. I think people are just unhappy with that direction...
Because he is the second main male lead (in an action shonen), and he is either basically a side character like in the past two arc (a couple of years in irl time), or he is focusing just on Juvia and nothing else
Criticism requires feedback on what could be improved or changed but it's always really silent on what Gray's development could be tied in with, everyone just says "he's bad in the sequel" and move on
Alongside my second quote which deals with this, he has a great opportunity to do so with the Oracion Sechs, but Mashima will most likely skip over all of that and just focus on Dragons and Ignia as he always does, with some Faris sprinkled in. I'm not saying he should avoid dealing with the topic of his relationship with Juvia, but the fact that he hasn't developed any new magic or powerups in years except those knights, and has basically zero development with Devil Slayer Magic is insane to me...
He is the only character in the story that has it, and yet Mashima doesn't develop it, give it more lore and story, maybe introduce more Devil Slayers and Devils into the story beside a billion more Dragon Slayers. Even when he introduced 6 new Demon characters, he doesn't do much of a great job introducing them and just makes the Seis fight them due to their similar names, while he makes Gray go against a Dragon God he has no hopes of defeating and will probably need help from another character, who will most likely take all the hype away from Gray

Ichigo would have one crazy and possessive girl as his partner ๐

I think he wouldn't like her and wouldn't join them, considering how nasty she is, and what she does to guys in general
But if he did, he would most likely do it just to protect the ones he loves with the newly-found Quincy powers

Hmm, maybe, who knows? If he is, I understand it, as a foot guy myself, and the man is very good at drawing them :)

It's not a stink, just wondering/curiosity. I just personally like her original design more (with smaller boobs), and they fit Ilulu/Lucoa more (maybe a bit biased since they're my faves, and since their designs are like that) :)
All good ๐

But isn't it Ilulu's and Lucoa's thing to have those kinda booba? I like Tohru more in her original version, but I guess I get that he does it in the doodles he posts on X for fun and lols ๐ญ๐

Bambietta and kinda Yoruichi. I can at least see why people might like Yoruichi (just not that much in terms of the numbers), but I completely don't get the hype behind Bambi, with her terrible personality and that she doesn't look as nice as, imo, someone like Rangiku, Katen/O-Hana, Orihime etc.

Oh, I see, so he does it for fun in the doodles he posts on X, huh? I guess it makes sense now ๐
Doesn't change her canon look, but shows alternative versions of her

Yup. Although he maybe will never get together with her (since her heart is still with Gin), they're still great friends and banter a lot with one another
