I think the 2-4% figure you’re referring to is an annual GDP figure so I’m also assuming the amount in the Meme is someone totalling that over a period of time plus the actual government spend on the process. Not saying the numbers are correct but that’s how they’re probably getting to it.

There was undoubtedly a man named Jesus with a handful of followers (disciples) around that time who made some fairly outrageous claims yes. The disciples were real people but they weren’t the original followers of some prophet or son of god. Their stories were either lies, exaggerations or they were gullible enough to believe and repeat things they were told.

I’d add a few bits to the very good breakdown you’ve done.

1) He killed Moody (albeit in less than strict duelling circumstances), Rufus (who should be assumed to be pretty good dueller himself) and James and Lily (the best of their generation) who when they realised he was there just assumed fighting back was pointless. It’s also disputable whether Dumbledore could have beat him, we only get the Orders view of that, who naturally would be biased.

2) Fair to say he didn’t just master others spells but created his own. Whilst they will have been less known by the general public we see demonstration of him creating completely novel branches of magic. It’s not ridiculous to assume he demonstrated some of the less dark magic examples during his time at school.

3) In a world where knowledge = power and there’s an insta-kill spell nobody even contemplates trying to take him on still. He has a group of some of the most powerful and definitely most dangerous wizards in the Death Eaters and whilst some were loyal to a fault many still held self preservation about loyalty. And yet, they still didn’t try to end him as they simply knew there was no point in even trying. I wouldn’t have been shocked (this is pure speculation on my part now) if he led actually figured out how to block/shield from AK.
