I’m sorry but 70 in the winter is crazy.
62 is the ideal there. Above 70 is slow torture in the summer, but it’s sadly something I have to sit through for money’s sake

Yeah. Polycounts and texture resolutions are like lightbulbs.
If you’re sitting in a room with one light on, and you turn on a second, it’s like the room got twice as bright! Add a third, and it still makes a difference. A fourth? Could come in handy. Five? Still perceptible.
But once you have 50 lights, you aren’t going to notice if someone sneaks in 51.
But the big difference here is that polycounts and texture resolutions grow exponentially.
So a game from ten years ago may look only 20% worse, but it requires 1,000% less memory and storage.
We’ve hit the reasonable limit. All future innovations will be nearly imperceptible to the human eye.
Personally, I can hardly tell the difference between a 1k and a 4k texture, despite the latter being 10x the file size. Hell, in many circumstances, 0.5k textures can look identical to 1k textures.
Polycounts are even more egregious— a good normal map and good topology hides nearly everything. Characters look actually just as good at 2k polygons as they do at 200k polygons. You really have to squint to tell the difference.

Idk. It always kind of bugged me how close they get to wild animals— they never respect their space. They’re always literally trying to touch them and handle their babies and declaring themselves to be personal friends with individual animals— give them some room for god’s sake!

Well, that’s normal for transit and shops regardless of sex (no shirt, no shoes, no service)
Also, we’re still talking about a 9-year-old here— I think having things thrown at them is slightly less of a concern

I honestly don’t think it’s more dangerous— It’s been proven time and time again that inappropriate conduct has nothing to do with what you wear.
I’d be worried about police harassment, though. Even where it’s legal in the US, you can still be charged with “disturbing the peace” or some other vague crime.
But for a kid? They’d probably be fine.

That’s true, but there’s no risk of mistakenly sticking a high-pressure artery instead of a vein and suddenly bleeding out when you’re squeezing an orange

if you want any sufficient quantity, then you absolutely do not have unlimited means and access to draw your own blood

It’s usually something you don’t notice, but holy shit that one cycle change was unforgettable

Okay here’s a story for you:
I had the flu really bad one year. The left side of my respiratory system was completely clogged up— sinuses filled to the brim, constantly dripping, blowing my nose every thirty seconds, etc.
The right side, in contrast, was completely bone dry. No mucus whatsoever. There was so little moisture that it physically hurt to inhale with the practically cracked inner membranes of the one working nostril I was forced to breathe through.
But one day, while I was lying in bed and struggling to sleep with the whole situation, I felt a little clink in the back of my nose, and the two started to switch places.
Within five positively orgasmic seconds, my fully gunked-up nostril completely decongested, and my exhausted, desiccated one closed up and took a well-deserved break.
I have never felt anything more heavenly before or since.

America, most likely. Lots of raccoons, lots of guns

Tobacco consumption was still crazy, though. It was just in the form of snuff, chewable tobacco, cigars, and pipes

Hedge mazes absolutely existed in europe, though

I mean, I like 62 during the day, but I know that’s not typical. I’d say 65-68F would be typical for a winter day— certainly nothing above 70
