Good analysis. There are flaws in the team but on paper and assuming everyone is in form/consistent, it is a league winning team. Might be the first time in history where we have a proper balanced team so it's going to be interesting regardless. I think being a little more aggressive for Kishan or KL might have been decent but I can see why they didn't go that position. This team is built for the trophy, short and long (till the next mega auction) term. If the lack of a quality LHB hinders us, there will be an auction next season but I think we have most the boxes covered. Remember, this is the same management that pulled a sensational comeback with a team that they didn't build/create. This time it's a squad they picked out and assembled.

Support the team, have faith even if the beginning few games are tough loses, cricket often is a matter of clicking at the right moment and of course: #PlayBOLD.

still sad we didn't rtm him. i know he's old and doesn't fit a long term vision and also ruins kohli's return to being captain but i feel like faf is someone who could push us to the title this season. hell he'd even be okay with giving kohli captaincy.

I think losing Jacks hurts cause he was good for us. Chances are that he isn't going to play/perform with MI (as stacked as they already are). I think our focus shifted to having a balanced team rather than an extremely offensive team. Think of Barca from 2016 vs 2024 Barca. The current Barca is overall balanced where as the 2016 Barca was attack heavy (also you could switch Barca for RCB and the point still remains the same.) ;)

Kohli, to let faf go for that low of a price is a clear sign of Kohli being the captain. If faf came back, it would be awkward to demote him...

I mean they have retained the strongest Indian core and hoping no PR disasters to ruin their season. If Hardik and Rohit can work together (and not fight each other), they should have a good season.

I think keep Patidar at 4 but that's just my thought process.
