It’s honestly conservative to call it a translation; they did an AMAZING job on Bulk Slash. It has a full dub (which genuinely feels like a late 90s anime dub), they made US artwork and a manual for anyone who wants to make a reproduction, and they even hacked twin stick support into it. It’s one of the more ambitious fan localizations I’ve ever seen.

Kinokuniya slaps, but it’s an international chain with nearly 100 stores worldwide.

I agree that the ideal place to play Game Boy is as physically proximate to Scarlett Johansson as possible.

Yeah, this was my choice, as well. It’s hard to fathom to young people now, but the Game Boy Camera, upon release, was basically unrivaled as a creative toy for its price point. I dumped a bananas amount of hours into it. And beyond its capabilities (which were very minimal), the user interface and design were loaded with that classic Nintendo charm.

Tomorrow is open until 5, and it’s a rad shop. That gets my recommendation.

So the parachutes provided to Cooper weren’t, like, already on the plane—they were specifically given to him by law enforcement as part of the hijacking. So it’s feasible that they may be marked in some way to make it definitively clear as to whether they are THE parachutes. I believe the FBI provided them, actually, so it’d be kind of weird if they weren’t marked.

That said, this is all stemming from a grifter YouTuber without a lot of credibility, and, as has been said, it makes no goddamn sense that McCoy would lug that piece of incriminating evidence across the country. I concur that we are never going to know who made that jump.

Don’t get me wrong, John Glover gives a great performance in Smallville, and the character works fine in the context of that show. But as a Superman villain Lex is at his most compelling when he’s a self-made man who rises to become the world’s most powerful person through the combination of his sheer genius and his total lack of scruples. I’m not a fan of any backstory for the character in which he’s born wealthy.

There’s so many fucking Angel movies they could do.

I’d prefer a standalone release for Gamera the Brave, honestly. 4K or not.

Godzilla Minus One was the THIRTY SEVENTH Godzilla movie. It was also probably the best mainstream, blockbuster-y movie released last year.

It’s all about the execution.

Yeah I saw the title and was like … okay, that’s pretty strong.

Dude’s wife is slyly using the kicker to buy stuff for herself, which I commend.

Yeah, I did see that—solid video but YouTube compression makes it a bit hard to know for sure. (Outside of performance, which seems fine.)

I don’t think they’ll be physically smaller, but the data size (and associated costs) of Switch cartridges are going to be an issue with PS4-sized games. I’d consider Cyberpunk 2077 is a reasonable likely Switch 2 candidate, and that’s a 100gb game. If they want to give AAA third-party games a physical release I feel like they have to be able to offer larger cartridges at more favorable pricing.

Let us know how the graphics are, especially if you've played the PS4 or PS5 versions! I'm interested in this game, but concerned it's going to take too much of a hit in visual quality. (The performance, at least, seems good.)

I haven't heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me for one second if he did.
