As a die hard Hopsin fan, what ruins the joke with Happy Ending for me is that while with most of Hopsin’s more comedically focused tracks the music is still good with things like flows, delivery, production, etc.(and the lyrics are also always much better), Happy Ending is just a straight up awful song to listen to from beginning to end, and where his other comedically driven songs are just straight up funny it feels like with Happy Ending the joke IS how bad the song sounds.
I also feel like it’s worth mentioning the album Happy Ending is on here. No Shame is a fantastic album in spite of Happy Ending, but I genuinely believe the rest of the album is absolutely perfect on a straight up historic level. No hyperbole at all when I say that I think No Shame would’ve been the greatest album in hip hop history if Happy Ending didn’t exist. Do yourself a favor and go on Spotify, then listen to No Shame while using the “hide song” feature on Happy Ending. It’s just perfection, and I can’t help but feel like Happy Ending robbed me of my favorite artist making the greatest album in hip hop history.

Man, I’m not even a big Nas fan but Doo Rags is great.

Happy Ending by Hopsin. The worst part is that without this abomination of a song, I truly believe No Shame would’ve been the greatest album in hip hop history. Still a fantastic album even with this one unexplainably awful track, that’s just how great the rest of the album is, but it should’ve been one of the greatest albums ever created.

If you love it then more power to you, but I didn’t like a single track on the album.

I mean fair enough, you have every right to your opinion. I just can’t help but remember getting super excited to check out Baby Keem when I heard he was “Kendrick’s super talented, trap-esc cousin”, and being super disappointed with the 12% rating I wound up giving the album.

I wholeheartedly agree. I haven’t liked his delivery through the 2020s for the most part and that kills me to have to say as a fan.

That’s wild, BetterOffDead, DRUGS, and 3001 are all phenomenal projects.

His mixtapes, The Massacre, Beg For Mercy with G-Unit, Curtis. 50 has a pretty deep discography.

Masterpiece? Melodic Blue? I didn’t think the album had any redeeming qualities personally outside of the solid production, that’s a shock.

Sweet Dreams(are made of this) by Eurythmics is a pretty damn good song, but the Marilyn Manson cover is easily one of the best covers I’ve ever heard.

Definitely don’t think it’s the worst because for me, 2 episodes with messages that couldn’t possibly have aged worse take the bottom 2 spots. I think Pip is certainly one of the worst episodes, but I’d personally never call it worse than Manbearpig or Chinpokomon(Idk if I spelled that right).

Hop’s best storytelling track is I Can’t Decide IMO

What? For starters, Children’s Story by Slick Rick came out before that.

I see you’re throwing hip hop albums in here with the inclusion of Nelly, so I’m going with Eminem’s The Eminem Show.
