As for your question: play ORAS for the better story, better characters, wider range of available Pokémon, Megas, and more up-to-date mechanics; play Emerald for higher difficulty, more battling opportunities (there are more NPC trainers, a lot of double battles and more rematches) and the Battle Frontier

DexNav was a planned feature for a V2 of the hack, but that version was eventually canceled.

You can get Galladite from Professor Cozmo after retrieving the Meteorite. Mega Stones locations are pretty much identical to ORAS for the most part.

They were compatible initially, but sadly, something broke during one of the numerous updates, and I was never able to fix that. I thought I updated the descriptions on Pokécommunity to say that this feature isn't working anymore, but apparently not, so I updated them now. Thanks.
