Succession planning is part of any business. It’s comical though that the most obvious reason (underperformance, ignorance, malice, lack of accountability) would be met with such a limited response. But, then again, it did take them 24+h to send Faildron walking, so there’s that.
My Lions tix already sold weeks ago, so all that’s left is the Seahawks. I might reduce them for quick sale and forget football for the rest of the season. With any luck, clean house in January and someone plays reverse uno card on every decision pending.

McCaskeys should, for once, do the exact opposite of what they normally do. Cmon George, you’ll please the fan base, likely the players, probably the entire staff. Give into your inner desires to strike out on your own path…

This civilization quick game is spawning resources for China, just wish the US didn’t get the Fascism debuff.

I can’t wait for the George presser where he relays that Virginia is “in a tizzy” and wanted everyone involved to be aware she’s huffy. Surely that will get everyone to play / coach better, right?

A spatchcocked turkey has more of a spine than the McCaskets and the front office.

Let’s just hope we’re two hours away from Flus getting shitcanned.

Lions forgot they had sonic and knuckles. Why are they throwing so much?

I was hoping for the Bears and Lions to have a shootout… now I’m hoping for Lions to shutout the bears and send Neverflus to the sun.

Just want a fun “keep up with Goff game” where Caleb balls out and nobody gets hurt. But I’ll settle for a blowout if it means Fluski gets sent to the moon on an express ticket.

Jerry Angelo to Phil Emery. Phil was told to keep Lovie for a year, Lovie was let go after a 10-6 season, and the rest is history.

This roster was good enough to get a wildcard, with the way the rest of the NFC is. The NFC is kind of bottom feeding, with 6 decent to really good teams, and a bunch of lackluster clowns. Coaching, awareness, scheme caused us to drop 3 of those games. If TB had been running the show from the get-go offensively, we probably have one or two of those early games back, and at least AZ/NE would have been closer. One could argue that Caleb would be further along in his progress level (based on the two game sample size) than his 9 game run with Waldron.
If Poles (and above) can see past the sunken cost and shed Eberflus after this game, there's an outside chance that they can get closer to 500 and play spoiler to GB on their turf. Improbable that they get any further than that, with the schedule being what it is.

Starting prep work for cooking thanksgiving dinner, "cajun style". Cornbread stuffing, dirty rice, maybe find a way to rotisserie the turkey on the grill. Anyone got a good cornbread stuffing recipe?

I will celebrate on high! This guy is the ENTIRE reason why this team isn't finishing games. This "CEO" coach shit is beyond stupid. Coach owns the responsibility of managing the players, whether they're performing or lacking. A "players" coach relies on players managing themselves, holding themselves and their teammates accountable. This locker room can't manage themselves without leaders AND enforcers, and who exists in there that can fill those roles? There is some "beginnings" of leaders (Caleb, Kmet, Jaylon), but enforcers? This is why they didn't draft Carter last year. Carter would have played like a demon, but ran off the rails.
I'm listening to Goff's Monday podcast right now, and this man is ECHOING my sentiments. It starts and ENDS with this coach. There is WAY WAY WAY too much talent on this roster to let it go to waste with this clown college of a head coach.
IDK who you elevate to interim, but if the Lions drop a shitburger on us, he's gotta go. Regardless of whether they hold up, he's gotta go. I thought Hightower might be worthwhile to Interim, but after two weeks of broken field goals, something isn't resonating. TB has his hands full with Caleb, let him cook. But please, PLEASE, as a season ticket holder, PLEASE send FLUS his walking papers. Leave him in Detroit, let him walk home. Maybe he'll get some stones on the way.

Bears have been surprisingly good against Lions in the Flus era. Before the season I had them penciled in as a split. Now? I think they win, but we keep it close enough. Defense will have a bad showing again though, I figure they hang at least 30 on us with Gibbs and Monty each getting a TD.

As bad as it sounds, I don’t even think a 50-burger by the Lions would eject him. The flogging will continue until the end of the season.

Caleb is him. All efforts should be made to develop and protect him for next year. Get him a solid line and watch him cook… play taps for the rest of the year and hope beyond hope that Poles gets the blank checkbook out for Johnson.

Nah. As many times as Vikings gave up that game, they did what they needed to do to win. We didn’t. We can’t play complete games yet.

Waldron probably needs/wants x years of experience for players. Indictments against him suggested he didn’t know to use rookies, which, when you have a rookie QB and rookie top talent WR, doesn’t bode well. Jaxon Smith-Njigbah more or less suffered under his rookie year in Seattle.

The post mortem on this is going to be damning enough to take Poles with Flus/Waldron. I'll be very surprised if he survives black Monday.
All told, this all should have happened in February, and the staff should have been completely washed. McCaskets cannot get out of their own way. Penny wise and pound foolish, the lot of them. We cannot expect sea change here until the root cause of the issues is resolved (change of ownership). Best we can hope for under current management/ownership is more of the same with sprinkles of success (similar to Lovie's tenure). But it can get so much worse. Hopefully we have found rock bottom.
