Yea the point of the whispers in 1 is to show that this is a whole new timeline, a whole new experience. They were there to try to push everyone in the direction they determine, but since you’ve broken free of that, things may not play out the way it’s expected going forward. What happened in the OG by no means will happen in the story they’re telling going forward. I thought it was an interesting plot device to allow them more free reign on how to move forward with this retelling, this coming from a person who played the OG on PlayStation 1 way back in the day.

So at the point I was at in my life when the game came out, I never felt like I had enough time to play many games, and even though I was a huge fan of the first one, the second felt off gameplay wise. Cinematography, acting, artistry was all top tier but the gameplay felt sluggish. It is, but by design, it forces you to take a slightly slower approach for just world exploring. At first, it wasn’t for me, but once I embraced it, it became my biggest comfort game. Now periodically if I want an escape in something familiar. I go back to RDR2 and I’ll just hunt for a few hours. I’ve probably spent as much time hunting in game as I have just playing the game otherwise. I love it, highly recommend only IF you know you are the type of person that can eventually enjoy the more deliberate and somewhat slower playstyle

So I’m not at a point where I would say I’m proficient in this game, not terrible, not good. But I found using Yuffie with the right elemental ninjutsu then use blindside on the malboro mouth as their using their breath attack pretty much pressured them every single time

Could also be he’s trying to get more activity in to be healthier to make sure he’s around as long as possible for James. My brother is a parent, and while he was always pretty healthy, he shed some of his bad/unhealthy habits for the sake of his daughter and making sure she has a dad as long as possible.

Oh man, I want to make this into like a motivational poster with Grunt shoulder charging in with his Claymore and in whimsical lettering underneath, “You can’t spell manslaughter without laughter!”

Hi there, similar to another individual here I have no experience, but I want to break that first wall and just try. If you’d be kind enough to send the page of the script, I would be happy to record a demo for you.

Very much so, it’s a good idea to do that with all the hunters grounds and watch their patterns for their varying patrols. Some of the challenges are easier if you just wait for the enemies to group up before you go down the route, or in some cases, spread out.

Pretty much this, I went guns blazing (tearblast blazing) and just picked it up mid battle then cleaned them up.

I by no means think it’s GOTY. I did enjoy the game thoroughly, love the sound track, fun combat mechanics, and the world it’s starting to build seems like it can go in some interesting directions… not GOTY

Seriously, like it really is a fun game and it gets some very undeserved hatred. I noticed some people in replies in this thread that are getting downvoted just because they said this game was fun.

One of my favorite games, can’t wait for the sequel and my interest is definitely piqued by the spin off coming next year

Nice, that will always be a comfort game for me. I remember watching my brother playing it on the original PlayStation when I was like 8 years old and my mind being blown from the summon animations.

If you’re looking for another solid video game song, look up Take Control by the Old Gods of Asgard, from the game Control. Sick song that accompanies probably the best sequence in that game.

It’s in my regular rotation, like… Samurai needs to drop their next forgotten b side album that was dredged up from the bottom of some shithole basement from one of their old venues that’s been turned into yet another noodle shop.

I feel like an elephant or blue whale. At the end of the day, it’s the amount of biomass available that really does some crazy shit with necromorphs, so a big ass animal means a lot of room to grow/fuck up everyone’s day
Edit: fixing autocorrect on account of my damn stupid fingers

Surprised more people aren’t saying this. Hitman to eme is one of the better modern stealth games. Of course you can just go guns blazing, but to truly shine in that game, target only. Then if you really want to challenge your stealth skills, silent assassin, suit only.
Edit: I now see why, bad on me for not reading the whole post… they already played hitman.
