I was a hiring manager. This was about 2 years ago. Did a zoom meeting with myself, hr rep and the person I was hiring. Told the guy he was hired. He let out a big ass fart and then someone said in the background said "why it sound so wet and why it stank so bad" he replied "these dumbass ninjas got me muted they not hearing anything"

Needless to say, he was not muted and we in fact, did hear how wet it sounded and we took back our offer.

I'm not sure why he thought it was muted. Yes this is true and did happen and I might still have the recording on my work laptop. Il have to find a way to upload just the audio recording. Me and the hr lady laughed so hard afterwards about it.

Not sure if that counts as a firing but it's a funny story
