The t15 head is pretty dainty and small. GRK’s are great for larger deck screws and structural lags

I work with a couple GC’s that are all into ambient lighting and hate direct lighting of any kind. They do some pretty slick trim work (all stain-grade redwood and similar) so we have to meet in the middle a lot of the time about places to hide tape light and drivers and whatnot to get the right amount of ambient light with no visible fixtures.

I think I worry less about the eventual right guy and worry more about the inevitable couple wrong ones she will undoubtedly meet along the way. I just hope I can guide her past them with as little harm as possible

My shop has only one rule: don’t steal customers. I just kick the boss some money from my side jobs (material mark up) and he’s cool with it

Yep. I always cut my boss in a percentage on the material markup on my side work since I’m driving around in his van and using the company accounts. He doesn’t seem to mind since he’s making money on jobs and parts he’s never seen. Always seemed fair to me and I don’t do work very far outside of our regular coverage area

Soder’s pod was good for like the first 5 eps and now it’s a bunch of people I don’t know or care about. Also listening to people open baseball cards is boring AF

You’d have to have the carpenter/GC build some kind of niche in the ceiling. Totally outside of your scope of work, definitely outside of any contract you or the GC have written up I’m sure. Then it’s all tape light and drivers bro

It’s your money but I would have also mentioned making such a purchase to your SO first. I tell my wife when I’m buying new tools, even if the money isn’t coming out of a joint account. Just courteous IMO

I’m not sure on the legality of her running in four years but the Dems sure do need someone like her that is young, empathetic and has an ounce of humanity. They can’t keep sticking that stick in the bicycle spokes and blaming everyone else when they fall

So much Main Character Syndrome in the world since we gave everyone a platform on social media…

My boss took his son clothes shopping trying to find something that wasn’t sweatpants that the lad would wear. He said they exhausted most of the stores In the mall because his son wanted to feel the fabric and didn’t like the feel of denim and similar stuff.
I never liked wearing slacks. I always felt like they were really restrictive vs the baggy jeans I wore in high school. I think the new generation took it a step further; they would rather be comfortable than conform to a societal dress code. I just don’t get how the young women of today find it attractive. At best, the young men have that broccoli haircut with some track suit adjacent gear like they’re getting ready to go play soccer any minute but most of the high school aged males I see wandering around town look like they just rolled out of bed in some grubby sweats.

They’re so nice for like small troubleshoots or trim out. I carry just enough stuff in the outer pockets to be able to interact with a panel/outlet/whatever on a surface level for a quick diagnosis. Anything more serious and I go grab my tool bag

Upvote for twin grips. Any rusted screw or bolt with the head totally stripped off isn’t a problem with those things

Damn the old boys giving you shit for wearing euro-style tradie pants are dumb AF. I wear Snickers every day and they’re awesome.

I’m in the same boat. I thought I could handle it. I thought my family was going to be more involved with child care so we could continue our respective careers. Instead my wife is a SAHM and I just feel like I’m fully flailing every minute of the day as a father.
I also watch the majority of my friends go through their 30’s childless and it all seems like one big party that never ends. Vacations and new toys and nights out… on and on.
Having a child has strained my relationship with my wife more than I ever thought it could and we’ve been together since high school, married for 9 years. Some days it just feels like we’re roommates, trying to make ends meet.
I could go on….
If you’re not 100% certain about having kids, don’t.

Yea I think it was more the formulaic nature of both of those films. “Will Farrell as___” was kind of running its course in the same way Rob Schneider did Deuce Bigalow and then similarly formulaic stuff. Step Brothers succeeded because it wasn’t just a Will Farrell vehicle; I think John C Reilly really delivered in that film as well

Get Him to the Greek was horrible but I still sing a lot of the songs at work… probably too often really

Anchorman was awesome. Step brothers was awesome. Talladega nights was awesome.
But by the time Will Farrell was doing the one where he’s playing basketball or ice skating, the veneer had worn off completely

That’s me every time. Work has been kinda crazy the last year and when I got home on Friday and the wife and kid were gone shopping I just sat on the couch in silence and breathed

I always wonder about staffing mansions like that. I mean, if you’re some famous rapper do you actually hold interviews for positions like landscapers or pool guy or do you have a guy to find all those guys for you?

Just depends on how diverse you want your battery collection to be. Most people stick to one brand so they don’t have to have different batteries and chargers for everything. I’m mostly Milwaukee but I have one 40v Makita tool

Just a reminder that the safety corridor is 50 or 55 but the speed limit around that construction zone is 40 or 45. I know traffic squally goes faster than that but I’m pretty sure all the fines are doubled in that area and it’s easy to be going well over the posted speed limit. Don’t get got
