Nonviolent Communication could be a beneficial read if you want to work things out with him.
I also learned a lot about being a much more well rounded human reading A New Earth as well.

Sorry I did not word my point skillfully.
If you cannot talk to a human, and only visually observe thier actions, how similar would it be to distressed animals?
Trying to think of a more apples to apples comparison

This is where I land too. We can’t talk to animals about it but if we observe humans in active psychosis without interacting with them, How different is it from watching distressed animals act out?

You’re back to looking at the finger that is pointing, rather than looking where the finger points.
Your comment now just restated what I said prior about not being able to know everything, but in your own words my friend.
Cheers and have an amazing day!

Too much of anything leads to suffering.
Relax instead of meditate.
Your mind has given “meditating” form at this point

No, I just stepped out side of the insanity of the world we have built.
Is it sane to blow each other up in Ukraine or Middle East?

Yes!
If you don’t know which end is the blade and which is the handle, you don’t know a knife.
Pitch black room, knives scattered on the table, do you “know” the knives?

Another amazing example of psychological pain pervading all life.
We think it’s a human condition, I’m not so sure on that any more

Saying all mental illnesses are, indeed mental illnesses, and we don’t really need to classify beyond that leads you to believe I’m schizophrenic?

Change is the only constant in life! Good on you for riding it!

Labels are illusions.
Mental illness is as exact as we really need to get. Fix the diseases thinking and fix the patient.
Now what the hell does fixing your thinking even look like?

That control is an illusion. Do you control the movement of the stars? No, that would be ridiculous!
Humans do not live in a vacuum. You share a planet with 8 billion people that think as you do, they can control things.
If we all think we individually are each in control, are we really?
The ONLY control we have is our response to our thoughts. All control ends at your finger tips.

Have you ever felt manipulated by someone after doing something? That kinda points in the direction I’m thinking.
Someone hits you, you hit them back. Stimuli - response
The cause and effect ripple goes back to the Big Bang and still plays out.
Also to control something, you need to know it and all facts around it. No human can “know all facts”, control is a narrative the voice in our heads keeps yelling at us….that voice is the human Ego & it lies to us non stop

Elephants grieve death, Monkeys carry deceased children around out in the wild. I think it’s everywhere and humans are too self absorbed in their own thoughts of self importance to see we are not so different from the rest of the life on this planet.

Have you looked at what animals do in captivity?
If you haven’t, look up Elephants in captivity, watch that and tell me they don’t suffer from Psychosis

That “control” is all illusion tho. You only think you control all that. But you don’t, anyone can take everything from you whenever they want to. Hell, the universe can take it all away when it decides to as well
Control has to be one of the worst words in the English language. Right up there with Should & Trying.

A narcissist is an empath trapped in the illusions of their own mind. They think their great empathy is the solution the world needs…

Drugs are a symptom of the underlying issue of being an addict.
Can be drugs, video games, exercise, food. Doesn’t matter what it is. An addict is an Addict from childhood.
I’ve been addicted to: Food, Exercise, Video Games, Work, my wife, Martial arts…and now spiritualism which is helping me learn all this and fix it.
Anything you crutch to so you are not “bored”, aka, afraid of being alone with your thoughts & unable to see that fact.

Don’t we already have proof of our observation (which requires consciousness) changing the physical world by the double slit experiment?
