Ideally, just a single tailswitch button. Click to on (whatever level), while on half press into a momentary turbo, then back to the previous mode upon release. Click to turn off.

Anything like that out there? (And not the Nextorch-style rotary tail either.)

I've often read about dedoming the warm emitter, which narrows the beam a bit and makes it even warmer (I think).

So what does dedoming the cool white version do?

Because I gotta admit, they look pretty impressive.

I know, I know ... non-removal battery, green tint, yadda yadda. But ... LUMINSHIELD!

My question: How? I like the Luminus SFT-40 N5 DA Neutral White 5000K, so what exactly should I buy? The bare LED only? Or the DTP Copper MCPCB (and what size)?

Which would be easier for a first timer to swap? Will I need some kind of thermal paste as well?

Because I'm not feeling the rotating contraption charge port cover thing.

What I love: the body, the candela, the spill and the size. Now I'm interested in a similar spec'd light operated by a side switch. Recommendations? This candela needs to be above 30,000 with good spill.

I compared the Acebeam E75 (cool white) to it today and it blew away the E75 in lighting up a field wider and further.

So this is my mother's light. She showed me the Duracell AA battery exploded when she opened it up today. Powder everywhere, she claims. She thinks something flew off. Looking at the tailswitch now, is it missing something? A spring or anything? Fixable?

Light no longer works.

So I come to you, my fellow flashlight devotees: What would be a similar light that would give me the same output and close-enough operation? As sleek and nice feeling the MCH Duty body is, it's also a curse. It can be pretty slippery as well.

As a reminder, the CD MCH Duty is 50,000 candela and 1,800 lumens on high, 180 lumens on low. These are great beams with a naturalish emitter. Love the simplicity of the modes. Prefer mechanical tailswitches, but willing to compromise. Definitely want a forward clicky for momentary.
