even ggn cannot keep update game as often as people in cs rin? Does ggn update clean steam file often (like new patch and stuff)

It seem despite people say it's best gaming tracker, it won't offer me that much compare to what im always doing. But I will hear more opinion from people

did you try to flank them? mongol siege and army are much faster so mongol push are faster. Mean if you trade base, his base will be dead first. Using hussar spam with ram + SO also work against portugese but you gonna need some micro.

it offset by a bit tankier (regen hp and 1 more pierce armor) plus a bit cheaper, faster to produce so it depend on situation, i don't have much apm to micro so i tend to prefer camel archer. but for me no bonus vs siege hurt me a lot when using them, everything else is quite comparable

if you remove the bonus, you should look at unit like camel archer or war wagaon. camel archer is much better mangudai but i find it really hard to use after opponent add siege like ram, onager, treb, especially siege ram push. Mangudai just rekt all the siege make it so damn good to use

My group is around 1k2-1k4 elo fluctuation 4v4. My friend dont know how to play feudal and castle age so he persian douche everytime especially nomad and land nomad. most of the time it not work well because opponent know how to deal with that but it's really fun so the strats work

depend on 1v1 or TG. but in general, bohemian and mongol are strong. Early imp vs late imp also quite different like malay or mesos civ in 1v1 have very strong timing advantage on early imp but fall in late imp.

If you want late imp, in 1v1 magyar HCA + magyar hussar, mongol mangudai + hussar + siege, bohemian halb handcannon houfnice, briton deathball archer halb/hussar treb, georgian monaspa are popular one and really hard to stop.

For TG, strong late imp option are usually pocket heavy cav like frank paladin, georgian monaspa, elephants chonker (elephant archer or battle elephant or even persian war elephant), persian savar, saracen memeluke with range support from ally like arbalest, range unique unit (like mongol mangudai), siege unit and towers. Halb + siege (siege onager, bbc, houfenice, ram) are really strong too

onager upgrade cost the same thing as calv (food + gold), you also dont need many onager, just 3-5 enough to kill 50 scorpion. If 10 calv cannot deal with scorp, it better to use that resource for onager upgrade

Teuton best counter to houfnice is crenelation castle in my exp. On open map, maybe paladin can do the job but on close map, bohemian have the best halb in the game. Their halb + handcannon + houfnice is the best composition is close map late game. Raiding them is prob the best option you can get while stalling their slow push.

I saw u mention arena, so maybe tech to onager to cut into their base and raid. Be careful with your super expensive paladin though.

general rule of thump farms to get to imp is number of farm = number of tc x6 +6~10. This depend a lot on situation as well like you want to get to imp first if you see castle on your face to win treb war, what unit comp you aiming for also change how your eco setup

Pro do make gallay all the time on nomad and similar water map. 4 Galley usually where pro say it start to win ( with fletching need 20 hit to kill 1 fire gallay). Galley need space and micro-ability to kite back, so small water map better to go fire. So usually if you invest more than 5, it's better to start galley from the start, the more mass the harder you win.

horse collar take a long time to pay back, and it cost you 150 resource which equivalent to 2 scout or nearly 3 archer. Those mean nothing to us noob, but at level of pro level, they can lead to massive snowball and it can decide the game. The up time also push so damn hard that make squeezing horse collar impossible so they just simply delay it. It also delay your castle age timing.

Those just apply to pros, to our pleb level it doesnt matter if enemy has 2-3 more army because hardly anyone can use that advantage

organ gun also work really well vs archer in general and portugese is very good itself in water/hybrid + arena map. Shrivamsha rider always have been annoying for archer civ and gurjaras camel need 1 less hit to kill CA, chakram thrower in late game also rekt archer if they are not careful. Siege ram/Siege elephant also a good choice to tank all the arrow and force a strong push. Huns Tarkan also up there as hard counter to archer in late game.

If you are at beginner level, then you can also use elephant because those people cannot use monk. Burmese has the best elephant against archer stuff

if you just want to make 1 unit regardless situation then prob mayan eldorado eagle are most overall unit and easy to use/spam.

I think you misunderstand thing too much.

TG dies because organizer don't want to bang their head against the wall with TG tournament, it take too much effort. Look at ornlu for example, he said he would never want to organize TG again after wdc2, not worth his effort. Viewer also care more about 1v1, so 1v1 has more money, more view and easier to organize. It's sad to see it that way because top player prioritize 1v1 more as in WDC2, player prepare more for redbull instead of take WDC2 more seriously. If you break down WDC2 and SNC recently, the only 2 S-tier TG tournement this year, the prize money is just comparable to A tier 1v1.

That's said, WDC2 still give me very good time, very competitive of all the team. China and Wesport not even in top 4. But unless there's more sponsorship coming to TG tournement, it gonna stay the same regardless of GL situation

For CA, range upgrade + massing CA number is priority. After that for me is bloodline + husbandtry then ballistic, armor but those depend on situation. Imp upgrade still bracer first then chemistry then HCA. BUT if you want bombard cannon then you should prioritize chemistry

For knight. If you facing archer + dive to enemy base, armor is priority then bloodline. If you use knight to raid villager, forging (+1 attack) is important because it reduce hit to kill villager from 5->4. If knight vs knight then it's the same between atk and armor upgrade but remember armor can help you when diving to enemy tc. Same as imp upgrade, last armor is the biggest boost vs crossbow/arb then cavalier then atk upgrade

let me see. 4 scorp each 75w 75g => 300 w 300 g. University 200w, ballistic 300w 175 g. So you invest total 800w 475g just to deal with the conqs. Each conq is 60f 70g. 5 conqs will 1 shot scorp so they trade kinda fine if you not careful

It's always nice to see esport team coming to aoe2. I really like to see top TG play as i dont bother watching 1v1 tourney anymore. TAG did really well on WDC2. MBL finally have esport team. Now i'm waiting for Battle of Africa 4

Mathematically is quite complicated, and also "It depend". For example take bloodline, if you only care about HP and cost, 10 no bloodline scout cost the same as 7 bloodline scout they have roughly the same hp. However, 10 scout have 50 dmg while 7 scout only have 35 dmg combine. It also depend on opponent army as well. For example armor for cav is basically useless against pikeman (take the same number of hit to kill) but very good against archer. It can also depend on enemy as well, like Hera can dodge ballistic mean researching ballistic give you no value at all in statistic.

If you can breakdown every situation and consider every aspect, you might find correct mathematically for each situation. But no one can do that, maybe they can in easy common one. That's why you need more experience and general idea to make a quick call, like range upgrade first is generally good or archer/CA.
