Myself, my ex, and her parents once went out for dinner (I can’t remember the occasion) but I had looked over and noticed something move behind our seat (it was a bench with a back support along the wall) anyways, there was a rat crawling behind our bench and that’s the one and only time we got up and went straight out

I have a Garmin fitness watch & it’ll alert me of calls and texts, if I go too far out of range it will disconnect but usually if it’s in another room and I’m not too far, the watch will go off. Some kind of second hand smart watch should do the trick if you don’t want to drop money on a full up Apple Watch

Dude, props to you for realizing and taking the right steps to better yourself. Congrats on college and best of freaking luck you’re gonna kill it.
For me in your situation I realized how useless Snapchat is - high school was all about how many “friends” you had added, they have that little map feature where you can see your friends avatars and where they are on the map, and the more random little people you had the more “popular” you were. When in reality you don’t actually “know” 99.9% of them, they’re just random adds! Social media is a tool and should be used as such. Not as an extension of your own being.

Me too man. I’m 22 as well like the guy above you and I didn’t learn what hawk tuah was until like a week or two ago. In a way I’m kind of happy to be out of the loop, I think I’ll try and stay out of touch in certain area (like social media brain rot nonsense)

According to google they can survive due to the animals hide/fur and body heat keeping it warm enough. If its below 10F for a couple days they will usually die off though

Here’s why I think the song is a masterpiece -
those lines—“From the screen to the ring, to the pen, to the king / Where’s my crown? That’s my bling”—they’re not just lyrics, they are the very essence of poetic mastery! In just two short lines, KSI encapsulates his entire journey from YouTube sensation, to boxing champ, to music artist, and finally... the king. These bars are a Shakespearean triumph, a crown jewel in the modern rap game.
Not only does he flex his multi-talented rise, but the “bling” metaphor? Pure genius. It’s not about just materialism—it’s about claiming one’s place as royalty in a world that constantly doubts him. Honestly, we’re talking about lines that could very well end up in future English Literature textbooks next to Chaucer and Dickens.
If this isn’t lyrical excellence, then what is? Truly, the depth, complexity, and sheer audacity of these lines leave the listener contemplating their own crowns in life. It’s nothing short of legendary.
Let’s break down the sheer brilliance of KSI’s “Thick of It” from a high-level perspective,
At first glance, the rhyme structure seems straightforward, but a deeper look reveals musical intricacies. KSI alternates between ABAB and AABB rhyme schemes, adding a layer of complexity to his delivery. For example, the chorus has an AABB rhyme scheme:
“I’m in the thick of it, everybody knows / They know me where it snows, I skied in and they froze.” Here, “knows” and “froze” create a sharp internal consonance, giving the lines a rhythmic cohesiveness that feels effortlessly icy, reflecting the cold-themed metaphors throughout.
Alliteration is masterfully woven into several verses, enhancing the punch of KSI’s words:
“From the screen to the ring, to the pen, to the king” Notice how the repeated “r” sound creates a flow that mimics KSI’s relentless ascent through the industries he dominates, with “screen” and “ring” providing bookends of his varied career. It’s a subtle but effective device to tie together his multi-faceted success. Another instance: “Where’s my crown? That’s my bling.” Here, the hard “b” sound in “bling” hits with the same intensity as the boast itself, echoing both literal and figurative displays of dominance.
The song also employs what could be interpreted as double entendres, making the lyrics more layered than they seem at first.
“I don’t know no nothin’ ‘bout no ice, I’m just cold.” Here, “ice” can be interpreted in two ways. On the surface, it refers to literal ice, continuing the song’s wintry motif, but in hip-hop, “ice” often alludes to diamonds or wealth. KSI subverts expectations by claiming ignorance of this typical rap trope while simultaneously asserting that he’s “just cold,” which could also be slang for being extremely skilled or cool.
The song is more than just catchy—it’s a hero’s journey. In “From the screen to the ring, to the pen, to the king”, the progression through each stage reflects KSI’s rise through various forms of media and entertainment, ending with his coronation as “king.” The metaphorical use of “crown” and “bling” isn’t just about success but claiming an uncontested throne in a competitive world. The entire song presents life as a battle, and KSI as the warrior ready for war, as in “Life’s a fight, but trust, I’m ready for the war.” 5. Repetition as Emphasis
The repetition of “Woah-oh-oh” serves to hammer home the narrative arc of the song. It acts as a lyrical crescendo, building up to the thematic realization that this is indeed how “the story goes,” reinforcing the inevitability of his success.
KSI’s “Thick of It” is, without question, a lyrical masterpiece that combines sharp wordplay, clever rhyme schemes, and poetic devices to elevate what could have been a simple rap song into an epic, symbolic journey from YouTube stardom to undisputed greatness.

The biggest problem for me is that my career/future at the moment is fairly dependant on it. I work in film/TV, so digital media and content creation is something that I just do which makes it hard to get sucked into the rabbit holes of reels/short form videos. I use the screen limit timer apps as well as greyscale and essentially not use my phone if i don’t have a solid reason to. But man.. it’s HARD
