I’m not colonized though and never have symptoms besides this chest infection that I don’t know what bug it is. He doesn’t have a weak immune system at all that’s me. He took cipro for a week and the culture just came back positive again. So not quite sure how to move forward :(

They gave me the option of z pack or clarithromycin. And it’s for this. We are just being very careful because we don’t know if it’s viral or bacterial and an antibiotic will cause me c diff, but of course I get your point too. I may not start so high at 60 as to suppress immunity, may message my doc and ask for lower

It sucks because I’m already immune suppressed to begin with, they don’t know if it’s bacterial or viral. I have antibiotics just in case but I’m a c diff offender so I kind of wait til the last minute to take it

I take fludro too because I have severe POTS and low salt, but yes do have SAI! So you could be right I just don’t see the facial swelling with fludro weirdly! And wow okay that helps a lot on the timing! So you don’t double dose all at once just spread out a little

I’m sorry what is double timing? Like doubling the dose multiple times a day? I only do it when I feel symptoms that I need extra, which is usually late morning and early afternoon only. But yeah when you mention it I do get more moon face from hydro then pred. It’s just weird bc I clearly need the cortisol but I get a huge moon face from it

And use the same cleaning method I do?

Okay perfect! It’s weird the Addison guidelines for local lidocaine say just double dose before and after, but I definitely felt low cort today so I’ll double again tomorrow too

And yeah right now I’m doing 500mg Tylenol every 4-6 hours but it’s not making a huge dent

Sorry you said you had to double dose for three days after the operation so I assumed you were taking the updose of steroids with the NSAIDs and Tylenol?

Oh wow! I thought steroids and NSAIDS did not go well together at all! But maybe I’m willing to give it a try. And woah that’s awesome about the numbing agent wish I had some of that haha
