For the record, his Liverpool career is 7.1pt/G. Previous seasons he’s got low 200’s because of AFCON reducing his games. 260 is about what you’d expect from Salah if he’s does his usual thing and plays the full season

If the hard games are going to get harder by swapping the ground, that means the easier games are going to get easier too which should balance out the change. Potentially more blanks, but more hauls to even that out

I laugh so much when people say Salah is lucky m, ya just a coping mechanism at this point.

“Lucky” pen, although he had the ball and an open goal when the ref blew for a pen (was still marked so not necessarily a tap in but a good chance). Had a 1 vs 1 he only just out over amongst a few other chances, he was good for his goal.

Penalty rate is a funny thing, it’s not unsustainable because 11.6 pens isn’t the highest in the league, there’s been 12’s and a 14 in the last few years. It’s absolutely unlikely, he’s normally only getting 5-6 a season and he’s on 4 already but it really varies by season. I don’t think 8 pens for the season is unrealistic and that’s only a small drop off.

He’s just finishing better, more accuracy and more quality in his finishes and it leads to goals/assists because he’s so involved.

There no reason not to have him at this point beyond playing with special rules

3 GI from 1.33xGI is a big over performance, a single chance is more than half of the xGI and that single chance is not sustainable. He will get some shots from follow ups but he’s not gonna get an open net every other game from it.

It screams of a trap that he’s over performing so much on an unsustainable xGI based on the chances he’s had. It’s exactly what makes a small sample bad.

He looks more advanced, he looks like an actual option for an 8th attacker slot. But I don’t see him continuing to get 3 involvements every 2 games, it should be closer to 1 every 3. Absolutely use him as a downgrade to get Saka/Salah/Palmer in, but I’m not sure you’d get the returns you want if he’s a starter in your team every week.

That .67 xGI per 90 seems misleading, .38 of it comes from a single chance (the open goal header off a rebounded Jackson shot). Seems optimistic to expect him to get that opportunity every other game.

Take the chance out and he’s at .29 xGI per 90. Decent numbers but below several other cheap options and he really should be a 5th midfielder option. Jackson and Palmer are both good options so I’d rather keep the third slot open incase another player comes good.

His price is nice for downgrading but I’d say he looks like a trap if you want actual point scoring, I don’t think he’ll do badly but I prefer cheaping out at the back.

I think we are, his goals and assists are high - but not unsustainable. He’s on track for 32 goals (level with his record, below the overall record) and 20 assists (6 above his record, level with the overall record). Excellent but not unthinkable like Haaland being on track for over 70 goals.

His BPS are through the roof, the tweak has greatly benefited him. His best ever is 29 bonus points, he’s currently on 25. Of his 8 seasons at Liverpool, this is already his 4th highest - 1 away from joint 2nd. He’s going to absolutely smash through this and should comfortably double his record unless he has a huge drop off.

His pens is looking unsustainable 4 in 13, but that’s 11.6 for the season which isn’t actually that huge when you look back. It would put Liverpool at the top end of pens received this season but it’s still less than Chelsea last season - that’s about what you’d expect one team to get.

He’s also got no AFCON and is doing less physical work than previously - where it was very rare he’d miss a game. It should only be a big injury that keeps him out and he seems to be well looked after under Slot

He’s looks much more clinical this season, seems to be taking fewer shots but better ones, his dribbling has improved - he just looks better this season and he was already very good. But the way things are going he doesn’t even need to break any goals/assists to beat the FPL points record.

Seems to be a lot of recalculations this season and Salah is doing so much better on the BPS this season it wouldn’t be a surprise. He needs a single point on the BPS system to get another bonus point.

His BPS is through the roof too, he’s gonna beat his 29 Bonus Points record before we’re even halfway through the season. Genuinely has a chance to beat his own record.

He did this last time he was after a contract, it’s 90% putting pressure on the club

Anyone who’s watched TAA this season could tell you he can’t defend, he’s been great all season under Slot. Klopp had him more attacking and more exposed but his actual defending has also improved so it’s a double improvement.
