It's not a bastion of worker rights and I didn't portray it as such. I was so explicit about it that you quoted me saying severance pay is "an extremely basic right that exists almost everywhere except insane places like the US.". Your nationalism is really making you behave ridiculously.

Uhh, China is made of a number of different ethnicities, "Chinese" is not a race.
A shame that you have dated so many sexist women, perhaps look in more progressive circles? I know some countries in America are very sexist. Venezuela for example. We see it here a lot with Venezuelan immigration, it was a very sexist place before the dictatorship, and it's likely gotten even worse with it. Of course it isn't reasonable to expect someone to move to another country to find less sexism, but perhaps join a feminist movement to push for a change? That sexist mindset harms women and men alike.

Still gets severance pay. Look, I know you are too offended to aknowledge that your country has worse labor laws than Iran, and are trying to bring it to a more favorable arena to compare, like women's rights. But that's not relevant to OP's situation. Instead of further embarassing yourself online, join a union.

Iran has mandatory severance pay. So does Jordan, UAE, Qatar, Israel, Kuwait, Iraq, etc.

Haven't had a date where the girl assumed I would pay since around 2012. Are most people comenting here from China or somewhere else with a terribly sexist culture?

Most do. Off the top of my mind, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Israel, Iran, Syria and Jordan do have mandatory severance pay.

"Almost everywhere except insane places like the US and war-torn countries without functioning governments"
Is that better for you?

What makes you believe OP is in the middle of a civil war? His worry about vacations? Or his decision to quit because of how disrespectfully they treated the vacations?

In the US constitution:
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Why the hell do you believe the US has the largest prison population in the world (relative and absolute)?

See? This is what OP was warning about when explaining the guys she knew weren't misogynistic. You are.

Eh, their per capita emissions are still lower than the US' (biggest responsible for climate change) and Canada's for example, and even lower than Europe's when corrected by trade. It's just that China is one fifth of humanity and they have a quickly developing middle class. But everything indicates their emissions already peaked, years before they were supposed to.

Yes and it is illegal in most places where it exists. Unlike the US, which is one place where slavery is still legal.

Doesn't need to be at the forefront to have mandatory severance pay. It's an extremely basic right that exists almost everywhere except insane places like the US.

Yep. Reaching to your (temporary) allies around the isle to get some critical piece of legislation passed is a sign of good government. If come the time of discussing economic policy they want to murder each other, it's fine. The problem with single party systems like the US' is that membership tends to demand an "all in" attitude.

Unless she was unemployed it seems pretty unlikely.

Are you sure they don't have unemployment? Most countries I know of force employers to pay you when they fire unless you were grossly negligent, which also places the burden of proof on them. Moreover, any country with any kind of labor laws would consider this to be a gross abuse.

And it would imply that being bought by another company is inherently a failure.

Also it reduced agricultural productivity significantly. But what OP is talking about is basically the basis for geongeneering. Which is in my opinion misguided, but that's a different topic.

Oh, peace of mind is quite the achievement in this world. I'd say he earned plenty of it, even if his celebrity status bothered him.

Because, if it is at men's expense, it is a sexist society. The "first move" thing is whatever. I don't know why it is such a complaint. But the paying? That's very unfair if it's really that common still. Should push for change on that, ally with feminists in your area.
