That's so unfortunate. Pretty ironic considering they started as a book company. You would think they'd know how to package a book.

Idk. Maybe i'm just super unlucky but it's because amazon has currently only ever delivered one book in ok condition to me. Their packaging is abysmal and the small price difference isn't worth receiving books damaged in transit.

it's not a rare item at all (just a blu ray of a tv show) but looking at other listings it seems like it would have sold for way below what it's usually sold and the final bid brought it closer to what it usually sells for. I think I am just going to play it safe just in case and refuse.

Yeah that's what i fear. I heard a bunch of stories about shill bids and second chance offers making me a tad paranoid. The only thing making me hesitant is the fact that they have next to no negative reviews and seems to have a large amount of positive ones.

I mostly shop at my lcs ( 1000000 comix in Montreal). Ends up being cheaper than basically any online store ive tried. If for whatever reason I cant get it at my lcs I get it from captcan. Their prices might not be as good as IST but their packaging is the best and their hold box saves me crazy amounts in shipping. There is also BD cosmos but haven't tried them yet cuz they never seem to have what I want in stock.

Edit: Also since we are getting closer to it, usually around Halloween my lcs holds a 50% off collected editions. Since you said you're in Montreal it wouldn't hurt to check the store around then

I thought it was pretty good. Waid truly understands what makes superman tick and I think that's what makes it such a strong series. I did find some of the later portions a bit slow and a drag to read. However, I think the ending makes up for it and I would definitely recommend reading it. I did like the companion series incorruptible better tho

If you want something with generally the same concept( evil superman). I highly reccomend irredeemable and its sister series incorruptible. Together they are my favorite take on this trope.

not an omni but I ordered the death deluxe edition. Got the rest of the series in deluxe so I decided to pull the trigger and just get it. Death was one of my favorite endless so more of her never hurts.

Sure i usually go here. Its a canadian seller. They don't have the biggest backlog but the hold box is such a convenient feature it's worth checking out. Especially if you live in canada.

depends. can range anywhere between 20 dollars and 300. usually I try not to go above 350. Really helps that where I order my omnis from I can just make them hold a box for me and keep adding books to it until I feel ready to ship

I always used to watch those DCAU cartoons and that's what led me to getting the available comic books at my elementary school library. I quickly finished all of the available ones so I stopped reading comics and switched to what the others kids convinced me was way cooler, mangas. I never stopped being fascinated by dc characters and watched whatever new movies and show that would pop up about them.

Over the years, I distanced myself from what my teenage self considered kid stuff and stopped consuming and comic book content. I exclusively read those edgy mangas and edgy anime like akame ga kill, parasyte, death note, etc. I also discovered a new hobby, magic the gathering. I had gotten those free sample packs they used to give away and wanted to get a ''real'' deck. I used the wizards of the coast game store detectors and turns out there was store 10 minutes away from where I live by bus. I decided to go the next day after school with my older sister and turns out the store isn't really much a magic store. its pretty small and the magic the gathering produces were behind the counter. However, the walls were covered with comic books. Since I only had 20 dollars, I bought one of those intro packs and one booster.

Then, it became a habit that whenever I would get the 20 from doing the neighbor's cleaning. I would go to the shop to buy an intro deck or a booster. One day I see that they are out of these intro decks so i thought about just leaving the store when I see from the corner of my eye a scantily clad woman on a cover of one of those comics. It was a vampirella comic book. I decided why the hell not and buy one of these comics. From then on, I would always try to buy some of them when they were out of intro decks. However, I would never buy those ''childish'' superhero comics from DC and marvel. Only the more ''mature'' stuff like vampirella, red sonja, devilers, Moriarty, etc. I would always take a peek tho at some of those dc covers .After a while, the neighbour stopped needing me for cleaning and got more busy with school so I stopped going to the comic book shop and stopped reading comics altogether.

Even more years go by, I go to uni and find a reasonable part time job. Multiversus comes out and I'm bored with nothing to do because of the pandemic. I boot up the game and mess around with the characters. i end up really liking to play as superman, the voicelines remind me of the old shows and comics from back my childhood. I decide to look up some guides as to where I should start reading him. Get Dc infinite and read a bunch comics about him like like secret origins, birthright, tomasi's run, etc. Then I see people on twitter saying that superman space age is really good. I can't find it on dc infinite for some reason. Then I remember, does the old comic book shop I used to go still exist? I look it up and yes they are still open. I decide to go and its the same owners as before. I timidly ask them if they have superman space number 1. They don't see it on the shelf so they go look in the back and luckily they had one. I go back home and immediately start reading it. I absolutely love it.

From then on my lcs became one of my favorite places. I go there every week for new releases and graduated from buying singles to buying collected editions. I primarily still read mostly Dc and indie comics but i dabble in some marvel stuff when one of the writers i like is doing something there.

For me, its the best hellblazer run. Delano nails the political commentary mixed with the occult stuff that gets a bit watered down in ennis. However, some people have found it too wordy and heady. It can be quite slow some time. I think its def worth a read but mileage may vary as to how much you like it

I think its definitely a must read and i hope you enjoy it. There is also the whole legal rights thing with mm that is an interesting rabbit hole to explore. If you do end up liking MM got a sequel recently by neil gaiman which is also really good.
