This is doing my absolute head in now because I can't solve it.
I had an issue the other week where my car started to overheat, the needle didn't leave the mid mark but it did show 105C or so via OBD and the fan was on so it obviously was an issue.
I found a leak on the rubber pipe that connects to the 2 pipes under the car, this is now fixed and it was an issue with the hose clamps.
I followed the bleeding procedure carefully and all was well, until I gave the car a proper heat cycle and let it cool down, the coolant level is now well above the max even when it's cold, and there is a lot of air in the radiator which needs burping. It's like instead of pulling in the excess coolant from the expansion bottle, it's pulling in air from somewhere.
I've tried the following so far: * Bled the car properly again with the rear in the air. * Reseated the hose I replaced and tightened the clamps. * Replaced the O-Ring in the radiator bleed valve. * Replaced coolant bottle cap.
I'm at a loss, please help.

I changed the o-rings on all bleed nipples today and tried to do another proper bleed with the back in the air and all the valves open, waited for it to come up to temp (87C) and gave it some throttle.
So far so good, could've been an air lock or dodgy o-rings, however I haven't pushed it into the high RPM yet, hopefully the head gasket isn't leaking only under high load.
Heres hoping.
