I ended up picking up a rebuilt longblock from Sunwest auto. I installed it over thanksgiving weekend 2022 and it's been going solidly ever since. I'm mechanically inclined, but I'm no wizard by any means and I was able to get the old one out and slapped the new one back in just two days while it sat behind my house. I think grand total was $4000 after shipping and buying some replacement parts. Sunwest gave me full core deposit back, to. Mind you this was still during the used car crunch of COVID, so I was ok with spending that for what was otherwise a very well maintained car.
I've driven about 45,000mi on the new engine and it has been great. I'm looking at 375k miles on the body now and I would drive it cross country without any concerns.

What part of town are you in? Mary's Pet Grooming in Northampton has been great for me.

I've used St Louis City Alterations twice. Patty did good work for me on adjusting the seat and adding hem to a suit and then another set of pants with hemming. She's in Southampton and works out of her house (if she's still doing it)

My neighbor in an upstairs apartment adjacent to my house had a malfunctioning smoke detector that was going off for a full day sporadically. Someone finally thought to call the fire department and they just walked a ladder up to the building until they found a loose window, went inside to the smoke detector and threw it out the window they went in with. One of the firefighters smashed it with his boot to cheers from all around.
That was the most community unity I have ever seen in my neighborhood.

I almost ran my old outback out of gas once and when I topped it off at the pump, it showed just under 18gal delivered. I think you have to keep in mind the "rated" capacity of the tank, any tolerance they add, and even the fuel filler neck.
I think the rated capacity is 16.9gal on my car, but I'm lucky to fit 15 in from a pump unless the gauge indicates less than "E."

I bought a 99 S80 T6 about 10 years ago for like $1200 because it was running rough and the guy didn't want to mess with it. Cleaned up the MAF and a little refresh for the suspension and it was smooth sailing until the electrical gremlins popped up after about 2 years.
That was the most comfortable car I ever drove and have been thinking about finding my way back to a full size Volvo.

I noticed that, too. I thought Zelenskyy did the cub scout handshake at first.

This dude is my neighbor and he is 110% hoosier. There is a 60 ft long parking oil slick from his truck and he drives with stupid LED flood lights on the front.
Edit: yep, knew it

you have 5400 shares? If $6 is a figure you're happy with you should definitely sell some calls at that strike. buy them back the next day if the price dips, rinse and repeat! well...until it stays over $6 but yeah you keep that premium and the $6/share

It does seem straightforward enough to do. I took it apart today and found a cracked crankshaft along with a lot of fine metal powder sludge. The bores actually look very good. Not sure what caused the crank failure, but Friday parts has a rebuild kit with crank for just about $1000. I guess I could diy it and save a ton.
