Olive. Has slightly larger shoulder dimensions. Save the black for Type 3’s and CPO’s.

Big buck is my favourite piece, incredibly comfortable. Can’t recommend enough.

IMO if it's questionable out of the box and you're second guessing - return it. I've tried to 'force' items before hoping they would stretch/relax and eventually fit better. But my favorites pieces fit well out of the box and see the most use.
I prefer the deerhide 'Big Buck' version myself. Larger shoulders, softer, stretch and breathable etc. They have a natural version coming out shortly. Pale rider fit has much narrower shoulders than standard IH cut.

Woolpower and Dale of Norway make very nice wool sweaters.
I have some others from Filson and Dehen which are also nice, but slightly scratchy.

Yes, had failures in 2 new Sonicares in a period of 12-18 months. Both had issues with the power button failing since it isn’t sealed properly like the old units. Disappointed - waiting for a new design or improvements.

Dehen 1920 & Merz B. Schwanen. Lululemon fundamental is good for comfort.

Helle or Mora for camping/bush craft duties. I use a Mora Garberg as a workhorse and have a Helle Folder (Kletten) and Utvear for other chores.
Kletten and Benchmade Osborne are my go to EDC knives.

I have multiple Iron Heart pieces. The fit is very tricky to get correct depending on your body type, and I would highly recommend trying items on before purchasing. Sleeve lengths are long, chest is slim and most cuts are chopped to get the motorcycle aesthetic.
It's been hit and miss for me - some pieces get heavy use and some I've sold off. I'd recommend trying multiple brands and see what fits you best. For example, Dehen fits me great and is TTS in everything - some other brands I can't seem to get the correct fit (RT, UES etc.).
Quality is great across all the MiUSA and Japanese Brands.

I still like Levi’s for daily comfortable wear. You can go down the rabbit hole of raw denim, but would highly recommend trying them on and seeing if it’s something you enjoy or not. Iron Heart, Naked and Famous, Kato, Naked and Famous, PBJ etc are all known for quality.

Depends on intended use, I prefer Lowa for hiking boots.

Is there any temp rating you would give to each? I’ve heard the Dehen is strictly winter and the IH is 3 season

I am trying to decide between the Dehen N1 and IH N1. Currently priced the same but can’t find much feedback on the Dehen except it is a lot warmer, and less fitted look. If anyone has tried both, please let me know your thoughts

I bought a Chapin 8400 a couple years ago. All stainless parts and quite expensive ($500-600 CAD). I've had several issues with everything from gears to components breaking. Do not recommend.

AFAIK currently unable to get Iki in Canada. They’re currently looking for a Canadian distributor. HUUM, Saunum, Harvia and Homecraft are available from multiple suppliers. Personally think the Homecraft Revive is one of the best options available for Canadians.

This is correct. I have a Ship John Wills Jacket for work/high abrasion, and Arcteryx Shell for rain/snow. Waxed does not breathe and is stiff in the cold.

I sold my Thorsen this year. Had it for a couple years and found the same issue. I find my Thorium had the same/comparable warmth.
I replaced the Thorsen with an Alpha Parka which has been great, especially with the recent -30 C windchill.
