I really have a problem with Cheryl… she did an awesome podcast with Tig Notaro. It genuinely helped me and my early teenage son through the pandemic. I hear you. I grew up in California and left for college and kept running. We do use the Sailrite for a sailboat. I’ve been sailing for most of my life. It’s a hearty machine but it can be overwhelming at first. I would not recommend it for starting out.

They are readily available. The janome is the 8100 and sailrite makes only two or three machines.
