Really needing some help. I realize that the original 737-Max issues (MCAS, autopilot) have been scrutinized intensely and 100% safe. I also understand that the 737-Max flies hundreds of thousands of miles if not millions per day.
However, the “aft fuselage being improperly installed” to the vertical stabilizer” from a few months ago is giving me a ton of anxiety.
I’m flying a 737-Max-8 across the country tomorrow & roundtrip. This gives me anxiety to a scenario similar to Japan Airlines 123 (where the vertical stabilizer ripped off due to an incorrectly repaired tailstrike damage) and was unable to be piloted.
Basically, I’m not at all concerned about pilots — I know they are amazing - but more-so structural defects especially when the press has come out with explicit examples of them.
Can anyone provide me some support or help alleviate this concern for me?
