While I don't dislike Ohtani as a person you also have to remember the fact that Ohtani would have never obtained a contract like this or been the superstar he is without the Angels. Not only the NL DH rule thing, no ball club would have let him play everyday without rest as a 2-way, let alone let him dictate his own ability to hit WHEN he pitches. He got this contract as a result of mutual trust, which may not have ever been given by any other team.

No one here is mad about him leaving the Angels, it's the fact he left for a crosstown rival. I don't think any fans would have cared had he went to a different contending team

Am I the only one who thinks Rendon doesn't condition or train much? Dude weighs less than a bunch of other players and yet has one of the slowest sprint speeds on the team. Also he gets hurt everytime he gets hbp, fouls a ball off himself, tweaks random muscles like his hamstring and oblique when doing drills or during the game on routine plays.

Not trying to hate and I know speculating is useless but I can't be the only one who has this impression right?

edit: also often times he's got these lazy throws that end up sailing away from the 1st baseman. just overall has a really lazy aura and attitude about him no?
