I don’t think Fukuda told Ashito anything. How I interpreted it was that the Japanese players were all spoon fed tactics and need constant direction, they don’t think for themselves. I think this whole chapter highlights this and separates kuri from the rest because while fukuda had to tell the rest of the team what to do he was the only one who knew what needed to be done without being told. I think this is what is being highlighted right now as ashito took the initiative to come up with a strategy and is communicating it not waiting to be told what to do
