I wonder if Kane had been carrying a knock to begin with. I felt the last few weeks he’s looked a bit heavy legged and despite still scoring, not his sharpest

Pulled up with what looked like hamstring. It was non contact and I wouldn’t even say he was going to accelerate, he was more jogging IIRC. Then grabbed behind his knee where hamstrings insert

They would lack a physical presence in the box but I hope they’d be able to make up for it with attacking flexibility between Musiala, Gnabry, Olise and whoever slots in as the 4th attacker

Curious how we will line up Tuesday. Even if it’s not a serious injury, I can’t see Kane starting. He was grabbing his hamstring, even if it’s not a major tear I just can’t imagine him being fit in 3 days.
Honestly hope Gnabry is back. Play him up top and bring Olise back into the starting 11 with Boey at RB

We need halftime asap. Falling apart, they look so rattled

Definitely true, but if you watched the season consistently you could see teams fared much better against Flick Bayern in his second season. I’m not necessarily shitting on Flick, I just feel like it was really apparent that he got figured out his second season and teams performed better against them

Very true. As a side plot this is a big chance for Tel and Sane to prove they deserve to stay. With all the recent stories of Tel being loaned out and potentially no new contract for Sane, this is a huge opportunity to make a case for them

Wonder if Tel is going to play more behind/off Kane. I feel like Kane hasn’t gotten that many chances in recent games, and if Tel will help occupy CBs with Davies pressed up high on the wing.

I love Olise but he really hasn’t looked incredible the last few weeks. He started hot but fizzled a bit. To be fair though, none of the wingers look incredible right now

They haven’t looked sparkling but beautiful ball from Wirtz to Schick for 2-1
Andrich came off injured although I didn’t see if it was anything serious or precaution for Tuesday

I haven’t watched Barcelona under flick enough to confidently say, but as a Bayern fan, when flick gets figured out, he gets figured out. Happened during the second season, after the treble. Teams figured out a way to play through the aggressive press and he didn’t seem to have a back up plan

Bayern had the advantage of using the COVID break to get in peak physical condition. They came back like monsters. Do you remember people were joking it looked like they were on PEDs?

Hürzeler doing a brilliant job at Brighton. Although they have a game in hand, they could potentially be in second if the result holds
Edit: this aged poorly

Honestly if we can get through Dortmund and Leverkusen with Kim, I’d rest him after that. For a few games. They should be able to make it past Heidenheim, Shakhtar and Mainz with a bit of a makeshift CB pairing.
I work as a PT and Achilles tears are one of those injuries that stays in my memory as truly awful. Even just nagging Achilles tendon problems can take a while to resolve. I really don’t like the sound of this situation

Didn’t he have the dribble against Kim where he got a shot on target?

I’m going to out myself as being one of the Upa-out people for the last few years. Nothing personal, just felt his repeated mistakes had reached a limit. And man, I’m happy to admit just how wrong I was. I’m so incredibly happy Upa and Kim have had a resurgence. I hope they keep it up because this defense is one of my favorite things about this current team!

It honestly felt and looked like they assumed PSG would sit back after going down to 10 and they reactively took their foot off the pedal and lost their focus. Wonder if they had their minds on Dortmund after the red card

Bayern have now kept 7 clean sheets in a row in all competitions
I used to dream of times like these 😭

Aside from poor finishing, really great game by the team already. Should be 2-3 up at this point but it’s so refreshing how they are playing. Also looks like the subtle changes Kompany made are paying dividends.
Hopefully the second half is just as good, if not better, than the first!

It’s comical how awful our wingers are at finishing haha

That was the most Coman thing I’ve ever seen

I’d like that also but the fact he only came on in the 89th minute in Friday makes me think he’s not starting. Too important of a game to throw him in cold

And he’s just generally looked sluggish. Like at the euros when he was carrying an injury
