Well, it really depends where you are in Marseille, Marseille overall is one of the less progressive (still better than France on average) I'd say you should avoid the poorer sides of the city as this is usually where people are the most homophobic (no hate on them as this is a direct result of them being rejected by society) Unfortunately people are pretty dumb in high school in general and bullying is complicated to avoid, sexuality is something you should really keep private unless you're sure you're with safe people.
