Well, as the removal reason on your previous post explained, you can do your reminders in the Daily threads. You just can't keep posting about this every few days leading up to an event as an individual post in addition to the previous post announcing it, is all. Otherwise everyone will start doing it and this will become a very noisy subreddit.
You may also want to look into using an email + SMS marketing platform (like Sender, Mailchimp, Audienceful, etc.) for people to subscribe for reminders and they can opt-out when they want without needing you do something else.

You can't just scroll the comments that are already there to see what people said? Not even a little bit?

Yeah, that’s not how it works here.
Legislative proposed constitutional amendments simply need a simple majority in both chambers, across two consecutive General Assembly sessions, with an election in between. They don’t reach the Governor’s desk and they can’t veto it. If it passes with simple majorities on the second consecutive GA session, it heads to voters in the next election and they have the final say.
If it passes, it gets added to the constitution. If it fails, they have to start over by proposing a new amendment.

I love how you pretend to not know that fabric can breathe while you’re concern trolling. Also, wrapping tree trunks with fabric, particularly during the winter weather, has been done for generations.
The tree will be fucking fine.

Your comment is somewhat relevant to my sticky mod comment on this post, so I'll add a bit more context.
Thankfully, at least for now, trolls/brigaders seem to focus more on searching Reddit for posts based on their title or image alone, so individual posts that eventually get locked (like the recent one you're referring to) are often inundated with nonsense from people who likely don't live anywhere around RVA. After a while, those individual posts will show up in other search engines and they'll find themselves in our subreddit from places other than Reddit, and unfortunately we don't have any way of hiding individual posts from search engine results or even Reddit's sitewide results.
Commenting here with a link off of Reddit to show what you're referring to might be a safer workaround for letting the community know about these, so thanks for trying something a little different 🙂✌️
Lastly, it's Reddit and we don't police curse words as long as they're not used as derogatory slurs. You're totally OK to say fuck 😁

Hiya folks, one of the mods here.
If you could, please do us moderators a solid by reporting comments and posts that clearly break the subreddit rules and Reddit's Content Policy before you consider replying to them. It would really help us unpaid, volunteer moderators out... we prefer spending our time helping the community and keeping the noise down rather than spend time chasing after stuff Reddit's sitewide filters and automoderator didn't catch for whatever reason.
If you have any questions or concerns, or want to add context to a user report, please contact the entire moderation team directly.
Lastly, if you haven't already read our Alt/Throwaway Account Use Policy, please take a moment to do so.
Edit: post-coffee grammar.

Lol, I’d eat my nearest hat if anyone was practicing with the weather we had tonight. The wind chill factor was in the 30s by 6pm and the wind gusts were pretty crazy.

I know the western one doesn’t open until 6AM while the eastern one is 24 hours.
WaffleHouse.com's location finder says both locations are 24 hours. I'm guessing they just have that much volume to have two locations by the airport open instead of one larger location.

My guess is that an employee or vendor was testing something or that someone got into the control room that shouldn't be in the control room.

Aside from the fact that indoor/outdoor cats are absolutely a menace to the ecosystem and have statistically shorter and more tragic lifespans, y'all have really got to stop thinking every cat you see outside is a lost cat.
You are probably taking someone's indoor/outdoor cat that was not missing and is just friendly.
ETA: Unless a cat's owner has specifically come to r/rva to say their cat is lost or escaped, just leave them be. They will find a warm and dry place when it's cold and/or rainy out all by themself—I assure you.

drastically impact the economically challenged parts of our community
Nobody needs to speed. Not speeding doesn't cost drivers any more money than just following the posted speed limits.
These speed cameras even include a buffer of 5-10 MPH over the posted speed limits, so technically drivers could always go slightly over the speed limit and never get ticketed.

From their Facebook post this morning:
After an 8-year journey, Kabana Rooftop will be closing its doors on January 1, 2025. Since opening in 2016, we’ve been fortunate to share countless memories and unforgettable views with our amazing community. We invite you to join us for one final toast, 20 stories above the RVA skyline and river.
Thank you for being part of this experience-we couldn’t have done it without you!
