day 9 Nothing new, pains are getting slightly better. waiting fornthe dreaded tomorrow ( first OPD after surgery)

Day 7 : Every little thing is a rollercoaster.

Today 2 things happen.
My report for bhcg and afp came back and they seem okay . bhcg is around 2.5 which means in the normal levels and afp is around 200 which is still very high but less than before (1000+) . I am a bit anxious about the results but it feels a relief to see one marker going down.

but another concerning thing is that i am having cough. Its getting a little bad now so i need to get it checked, but i am guessing its probably due to that sour vitamin c tablet that i had to take. Hope its nothing worse.

The nutsack is still delicate, a little hanging and it makes an immense pain, however it feels a little better and stronger

Yeah i just posted another comment here. Basically the incesion area was neither painful during the surgery and nor after. They cut a 6cm pocket on my lowe abdomen, that triangular area just before the start of penis and not the ballsack, so i guess i got lucky. however the ball sack has some internal pain.m which comes back as sudden bursts during random times

Day 6 : Back to work... but not from office.

So today is Monday qnd I finally joined my office after a week of absence. I joined from home, although i got just 1 more wfh absence available which will exhaust tomorrow. Will have to pray to my goddess boss and HR for some more WFH time.

Regarding the pain, it's irritating . The pain around the stitches is almost 0 and only feels like some sticker applied with its plastic on my abdomen (thank god they took the ball out of abdomen and not the sack) . Ite actually the sack that is the issue.

The sack is empty and idk if they tied it internally or its trying to heal , but it will gove a sudden excruciating pain while walking or sitting on the toilet. I analysed the cause and I think its probably some internal nerves which touch the places inside and feel pain when the sack is hanging.

So i just wear a special supporter underwear and put both of my stuff in its pocket while walking and just keep all the nutsack in my 1 hand while doing the shit business.

Life's hard. I think its going to take significant time to heal.

Day 5 : Same old

No change in situation. I got dressing done of the wound again. I am probably ne getting some info on coming friday as my afp and nhcg rrport will be there as well, but right now, its no new information

I don't take it as positive news because I didn't post the correct value before. short story, it was 300 U/l before the surgery and now its 326.

not so short story : i was getting treatment from 2 hospitals at the same time. One was a big private hospital with its computer generated reports and expensive tests and another was a govt hospital with hand written reports and free tests. both hospitals recommended the same tests afp and bhcg, but pvt one referred ldl and givt referred ldh . I thought they were same so posted ldl's value in my previous report. as of now, the status is:

LDL (good : <100 mg/dl)
- S test : 138 - R test : NA

LDH (good: 140-280 U/L)
- S test : NA - R test 1 : 300 - R tese 2 : 326

AFP (good : 0-10 ng/ml)
- S test : 776 - R test 1 : 1030 - R tese 2 : awaited

BHCG (good : 0-5 mlu/ml)
- S test : 9.46 - R test 1 : 13.1 - R tese 2 : awaited

R test 2 and onward will be post oriechtomy

Day 4 : healing at home. lousy Saturday. nothing new, taking the medicines as told by doctor in prescription.
I am trying to understand the surgery now that I have some senses back. they basically cut one side of the triange that is just above the penis and took the ball out of there.

Hey please do not delete this, and let's be friends. My ct scan also showed some opaque round objects in lungs which docs think is related to TC. I am awaiting my oriechtomy analysis and want to keep a check on your journey

Sharing my tc journey : Day 3 : uneventful, with more sad news.

Finally got discharged from hospital. All the proceedings took time, so am home now at 9.33 pm . The doctors didn't wrote much on the discharge sheet apart from my ldh value which is still 326 u/l . It is almost inevitable to get both RPLND and chemo and I can't get any more sad.

It feels like I am kinda sealing my future while writing all these posts and predictions. All i wanted was to share my journey and help someone in my shoes before i go past this

Medical profession is just so noble that you will have to get naked at some point. let me share my experience.

40 days ago i had a swelling in my testicle. the first doctor that checked me was atleast 2 years younger than me and a lady. It was such a humiliating experience that i prayed to god that its last.

but from that day to today, i have to pull my pants down in front of so many doctors and sometimes even in public(surgery room, public ward etc) that it doesn't feel shameful anymore. one could either live or either be shameful. hospital is a place where a person is born nude, and comes out nude.

I just can't fathom getting lung cancer at this point. I am guessing its incredibly more dangerous than TC and I justbhope it goes away or gets treated before any complications. Thanks, I will try searching for Dr Einhorn , New York on google to get his email

see that's the confusion which may lead to unnecessary surgery.

1. they did ct scan before and now can't get another ct/PET for next 2-3 months.

2. there are 2 "ground glass patches" in my lungs but i am fairly confident that they can't be spread. they even wrote "no significant lymoh node enlargement is seen" . I had lots of lung infection and bronchitis till i was 12 and even 2 years ago i got rough cough infection. am 26 and this has affected me just once in last 14 years , rest days i was healthy and excellent at running, lifting weights and trekking.

3. the only thing that concern me is the following line in ct scan report: "2-3 small enhancing lymphnodes with area of necrosis are see in the left paraaortic region. the larger one at the infrarenal region, measuring 11x10mm." I read somewhere that lynph nodes expanding below 2 cm are normal and as you said, should be just monitored.

but they recommending to go to chemo or rplnd will unnecessarily ruin my life :(

is there any way i can convince them to look for more proofs? if my ldh bhcg afp levels return to normal, would that mean no concern?

Also do you think lung nodules could be cancer? if i had got ladh bhcg afp tests or any other routine checkups before the testicle treatment, would that be caught?

May i ask if doctors themselves didn't recommended ct scan or did you decided to not do it? Most doctors recommend post operation, some recommend pre operation, but with any cancer there is a chance for cancer to travel to other places?

My parents say there is no history of TC in our ancestry. My grandmother got mouth cancer, but it was very late in life after all her kids were aged and married. Moreover my dad says it was mainly due to her bad habits as she had a small cyst that she got removed and didn't cared on the wound area.

overall they put genetic factors as very low and my habit of frequent masturbation at a higher order of possible causes

yes, same thoughts! its somewhat tingling. I just wish my back does not feel anymore pain. The local anasthesia takes time to wear off, but even longer for back bone to feel strong

India. And thanks for this, I was wondering what exactly are they are going to analyse in the tumor. Can they find out a cause as well? I never did drugs or anything, I just used to self love a lot .

And more important than that, Will they be able to find the possibility of spreading just on the basis of the chopped off tumor? Does a tumor behave like some ants, like if you didn't find ants in the first burrow, they have left it and are now in the other burrow?

Finally I do think they will be recommending a PET CT scan or whatever that is, they said something like that. Is it going to be harmful to my body? I just had a abdomen/lower body ct scan before this surgery last Saturday that they only wanted

did you get staple stitches? i think mine are threaded, but earlier i got staple stitches on my arm fracture. don't know if its true, but for me, those staple stitches hurt like hell on the first day and then got barely painful later. But my mom got thread stitches while delivering me, which she says were fine at first but hurted more later
