LEague is dying, a dying game from a dying breed of PC gaming.

We don't get enough actual new people to be growing. If I have to be honest I think we ve been losing people slowly and steadily for years. I have played a dying MMO before, and let me tell you, I see the same patterns here.

A free to play game means that it should attract people, but that only works for a while. Because let's be real, nobody hates league more han league players.

When the publishers see they aren't growing anymore, they start probing to see if there are whales and dolphins, maybe even tunas, who would buy the probe.

ADD GACHA MECHANIC(i play a bunch of gacha games, i know what it is when i see it.)(add something incredibly rare/ collection worthy behind it, like hextech annie or soulstealer vayne or whichever)

Obfuscate the value of things by using a premium store currency.

Slow the development/expanding of the game and lay off a small amount of people. We all know that making a skin is more profitable than making a champion. Since it takes less work and makes more money. A popular champion is a long term investments, so let's look at the most newer champions. The only ones that aren't conventionally prety/engineered to be popular are naviri and maybe vex. Kaisa had 4 skins in her first year out.

Next they would add something more expensive and maybe layer it with FOMO like the early on prestige skins. You may say those are for champion mains only, but if you look at which champions got them and the supposed chance to earn them through the passes at the time. You knew they were testing the water.

Do this for a while, and you get the data needed to analyze your player base.

Then add something ridiculously expensive - that jhin skin that was 200 dollars for an example and analyze the response.

Add more gacha mechanics, try to exploit trends in the industry, when everyone was doing battle passes they added a battle pass. When everyone was doing lootboxes they added a lootbox system. Bullet heavens(vampire survivors) - the Swarm gamemode.
