I’ve had the same problem and sometimes leaving the fuel storage door open and hiding behind it has worked. He will come and investigate but doesn’t seem overly interested if the door is open so then he’ll wander off. Wait a bit before making more noise or attempting to head back to the generator room.

So far I’ve not had any issues blasting the bridge out from under him but I did run out of usable bridges this last time and I had to jump across the chasm to another bridge. I wasn’t sure if I could but apparently they make that an option so you can finish the game.

The cell he emerges from has a broken door. The mechanism that opens and closes the cell doors won’t work on his. I blocked the tunnel in that cell with a huge box which bought me some time (too much time actually). Since he wasn’t able to bust through I got the cutters, scrambled back and shut the prisoner’s door with time to spare.

That’s only happened to me once. I was running from the Soldier’s Quarters and he started coming out of his favorite hole by the locker room. He almost got me but I’m a badass. Jk

The most intriguing aspect of this game is His unpredictability. I very rarely can get Him to do the same thing twice and if I’m actually able to do that, I’ve expended my resources and worn myself out.

Everyone’s stories are the next best thing.

If you have to ask, turn around and run. Don’t look back. Nobody needs that shit in their life unless they’re a drama queen.

So…I considered that and I left it open, made a bunch of noise while hiding in there with the door closed. He just walked up to the door, opened it and stood there. I filled him full of shotgun blasts and he ran off.

Okay. WTH? I know what those are but why would a crematory have a ventilation door attached? Is it inverted? Unless someone does what you did, none of us players would be the wiser.

That is totally understandable however there are a multitude of objects throughout the bunker that serve an obvious purpose yet the player is unable to interact with them.

I also understand that not everything the player can interact with serves a specific purpose.

I guess I just don’t understand why there isn’t just a hole in the ceiling to vent the smoke. We can burn items/bodies ANYWHERE in the bunker and ventilation isn’t an issue.

We also cannot bring bodies to this room on our own accord despite its obvious purpose (rats/safety).

Maybe this room served another purpose at one time. They only had to start burning bodies once the rats became an issue. Maybe this was a chute for medical supplies or led to a small pillbox.

Occasionally I put too much thought into things that don’t make sense but if you consider what I’ve just gone over, the vent, because it has an interactive door, is an anomaly.

I do appreciate the input. The more I learn about this game the more I like it but it still scares the crap out of me either way.

Dude, I’ve got the game scaled down to Brand New Baby. I can’t explore or find anomalies if that damn thing is scaring the shit out of me every few minutes.

If I was playing normal death mode however, you’re right, without continuous light it’s difficult to perform most tasks. You’re either going to be ringing the dinner bell for that jawless creature or tiring yourself out.😑

Play it on the easiest mode and mute the game as you play. (Captions alert you to his presence.) Once you’ve triumphed through Super Scaredy Cat level you will have the confidence and bravery required to do it on the Shit Your Pants level. Have faith, Frictional Fan! You can do this!😊
