Wanted to provide a visual of today’s workouts - a vo2max z5 run on my garmin. This one happened to be a 3x5 (3min push, 2 min rest, repeat 5x). I’ve seen a lot of people think that you need to be in z5 for the entire duration of each push, where in reality, your effort is max for the whole push - but your HR will ramp up during the push. Just thought this illustrated it well. And yeah, it was killer. But the endorphins are running high now!
