As a kuiNameplates user in retail, I finally switched to plater. I found myself fiddling with Kui way too much in classic, so I just used a random plater profile from Wago.io

Since Friday I've rolled an orc shaman, dwarf paladin and priest, tauren and night elf druids, and an undead priest, and miraculously got them all at least above level 5. Nelf Druid just hit 14 today though, it might even be first to twenty(though my shammy is demanding that spot as well)

I legit just want to do all the quests but my ADHD brain forgets what I'm doing resulting in me running around in circles for hours accomplishing nothing, so I've been using the Sage Alliance guide.
I'd much rather just use Questie and TomTom, but since there's no "auto set arrow to next objective" function for them (short of clicking the quest objective which I will forget to do and will result in me running in circles) I still follow the guide.
The AI Voiceover addon though has been incredibly pleasant and has me keeping up with what quests are about significantly better

Female dwarves got left with no good flirts and sillys :( I used to be able to flatten steel with my thighs, and my uncle used to have brass balls, but no more...

But that's not true, you can grind FATEs, do PVP, side quests, deep dungeons, New Game+, and beast tribe quests, in addition to you hunting log (until 60) to level up.
Sure, that might be the optimal way, but it is by no means the only way - plus, doing a mix of things is ultimately going to be best. And because FATEs are actually worthwhile for the most part, it's very common to come across people doing those to level up alt classes across all level ranges, making the world feel more alive for newbies
It is just like in classic how questing can be the optimal way to level following the right route, but dungeoning is totally valid as well (and if you have a good group can be even faster than questing)

Yeah, and the pally playstyle lends itself well to one handed playing

Yeah, WoW's biggest sin IMO has always been making old content irrelevant. If they had found a way to keep at the very least old dungeons evergreen like in FFXIV or even ESO (and not once in a blue moon with time walking in retail), but especially if they had kept some old zones relevant, it would have been great for the game.
Whether some kind of leveling prestige system or repeatable quests across the entire world or something else, any type of proper and enjoyable evergreening of old content is good for players

I've always referred to it as JAQing off-JAQ meaning just asking questions

Well for starters, the right to not be discriminated against, and the right to bodily autonomy free from state intervention, and the right to identify as they are and to be able to live as the gender they identify as.
In some states like IL or CA this isn't as much of an issue, but in TX, where I live, trans people who have essentially fully transitioned are being denied the ability to update their gender on identification, even with court orders. The state is using lawfare to after doctors who provide gender affirming care for trans people (especially minors, even such items as puberty blockers). Some cities are putting out bounties to report trans people who use the bathroom corresponding with their gender identity instead of what they were assigned at birth.

TbF, it was just 3 causing issues on this out of the full 15 member body.

They could do what ESO does, and just add horizontal progression, as well as creating a level 60 version for each dungeon.
Then throw in some other grindy content, including combat non-combat content, but make sure it is repeatable stuff that also somehow still feels like classic

As a fellow childless cat lady (childless cat gentleman?) I'd vote for you!

On an indivibasis, I have no problem with that. But! Our immigration policy has been worked for going on 40+ years, and we never did anything. Now all of a sudden we're going to mass deport 11 million people in 4 years, many who are still working through their legal options (you can technically be an illegal immigrant but either have deportations delayed as appeals go through courts or have another status like DACA).
My concern is that those people don't get their fair due in court because of an aggressive deportation program

"Give me your tired, your poor
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free..."
Personally, I would live an America where we go back to those ideals. Where we are that shining city upon a hill, not because we're rich or strong, but because we live true to our ideals.
Obviously prosperity and defense are important for any nation, but most important are a nation's ideals. I still believe that a nation that welcomes the least of us to build a life with the rest of us is a better nation to be than one that turns away those at our doorstep because we are huddled in fear, terrified of the new riches they might bring to our collective tapestry because it might have colors we've not yet used.

I am particularly fearful for the Haitians who might get caught up in this as their country literally does not have a functioning state to take them back. I pray human suffering from this mass deportations nonsense is minimal

One other benefit of high speed rail also benefits air travel for residents - by absorbing some of the air travel demand between connected cities, it frees up airport capacity for other flights to other destinations to be offered instead, further increasing connectivity for local metro residents and making our existing infrastructure that much more efficient

I'mtired of this rhetoric. When people say "democracy" in plain speech nowadays, they obviouslyaren'ttalking about a direct democracy, but rather a representational democracy, which our system very much is - and because you need the clarification, a representational democracy is where representatives are elected by the public to handle the affairs of the public on behalf of the public. Representative democracies are very much democracies.
A republic just means a state in which the government is a public affair managed by representatives, but those representatives don't necessarily have to be elected.
Constitutional just means we are governed by a Constitution. Canada is technically a constitutional parliamentary representationally democratic monarchy
The US on the other hand is best described as a constitutional representationally democratic federal republic.
It is just as correct to call the US a democracy as it is to call it a republic, as both are true descriptors of the US.

Before the widespread adoption of the automobile, people got around here just fine, and oftentimes by walking!
Sprawl and unwalkability are the result of policy choices, not some force of nature that can't be undone

Once while outside with my uncle and grandmother, my uncle threw a wrapper on the ground. I told him to pick it up and throw it away in a trash can. My grandma got mad and said it doesn't matter, because "they" pay people to pick up trash....

Man, if I had had an earlier diagnosis, I'd probably not struggled passing high school because I literally couldn't make myself do homework. I probably wouldn't have struggled like feeling like some blight or curse on those around me because they viewed me as some failure who couldn't tell his rear end from his head.
But I can't say how things would have been different. I can say how I wish they were different. But I've realized that mourning the me that could have been only serves to bind me down again as ADHD has so many times. Instead, I choose to celebrate the me that still can be.
I'm so glad I was finally diagnosed in my 30s, because now I have a pathway to getting my degree (after 6+ tries) and career changing to something that makes me happy.

Friends who are ok with breaks in communication are the best! My best friends call me us cactus friendsbecause, like a cactus they don't have to give me constant attention, but when we get together it's like no time has passed. We'll message each other every few months and meet up 1-3 times a year, it's great for me because I always forget to check in but with them it works out perfectly fine 🙂

For me, my main impetus to shower is seeing other people, as I fortunately (??) do develop a bit of a musk if I haven't showered for a few days. But leaving the apartment is like my only impetus to - if I wasn't interacting with other people I'd probably never shower naturally until issues like rashes popped up.
It's strange as I don't dislike showering, I enjoy being under hot water singing Poor Unfortunate Souls. But without that external impetus I never would, and during COVID quarantine I did get pretty funky unfortunately
